Lu T - its lovely having someone to share it with! My SIL is due in January and I'm due in April, so not as close together as you two, but it is lovely having someone to talk to about it.

TMI - Everytime I accidentally burp (which seems to be a lot) I'll say 'That was the baby!'. Oh jokes about him being windy. I blame everything on the baby :D
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.
  • I don't blame the wind on the baby but OH thinks its hilarious when I slip em out... Considering he'd only heard me fart twice before the wedding, they're often and they're loud! My only saving grace is they're odourless which can't be said for his windy indiscretions!

My favourite line at the moment is 'I'm growing a baby!' when ever he moans about anything at all... Think it's wearing a bit thin now....

Asda just bought my shopping... 6ltrs orange juice and a bottle of vinegar... Should see me through a couple of days...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

okay ladies, i have a question.....how do they tell if the cord is wrapped around baby's neck, and i dont mean in delivery?

i know they can see the cord on the scans, and i have another at 34 week, can they tell then?

it dawned on me today that baby could have the cord around his neck and i wouldn't know.

can that happen or am i overracting??? well, i know i am overracting but am i worrying about something that can't happen???

I was thinking that earlier, you hear of it in birth but i dont recall hearing of it in pregnancy.

I've got a headache again, it always starts off in my left eye, like a sharp pain, and it throbs when i get up too quickly or walk up the stairs.

EDIT, should get off the computer really :o

  • I think it's one of those things you can't really tell until baby is born... My cousin actually had his cord looped over his shoulder so no matter how hard my aunt pushed he just kept coming down then popping back up like a bungee... She ended up with a CS in the end...

The cord round the neck is only bad during labour because the cord can get squashed or pulled tight around them, while they're in the womb they often play with the cord, twiddle it round and stuff its fine as there is enough room in there to get untangled only bad towards the end when its a tight squeeze although I've never heard of someone needing a c/s because it had been spotted on a scan
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
