i have been looking at simplybe for their maternity clothes. 20% off your order if you do so by the end of November. might give them a try although they are a bit pricey.

as for the bellybutton....oh dear, not sure how i feel about that popping out. why do our bodies do such wierd and bizarre (notice i didn't say wonderful) things when pregnant????

just trying to come to a decision as to when to start my maternity leave as i have to inform my work by the end of this week. putting all my dates etc into the directgov website i receive SMP for longer than i thought (not that i will be off as long as i am entitled to be) but it was a shock.

yes I think it still lasts 9 months. I too only got 6 months off when DS was born in 2002, so am looking forward to a bit longer this time.

Have been of work with DS today, he has a bad cold and was coughing stuff up this morning. I hate to think of him being poorly at school and not having any cough medicine or anything. Anyway he seems a lot brighter now and still wants to go to his swimming lesson later.

I'm 9 weeks now and absolutely convinced that bean is a girl! I'll have such a huge surprise if they tell me it's a boy!

    Sami,

The SMP for me is coming up at 33 weeks.

I used the directgov website and it personalises the calculations for you

Filmstar, I'm so sorry. There probably isn't anything I can say to help, and I don't really want to risk saying anything wrong. I'm very sorry for your sad news. There are lots of ladies here who have sadly lost babies, and there are lots of charities who can help. I hope you've got someone to talk to. Thinking of you xx

On the maternity cleavage cover up front I have found that bump bands do nicely as boob tubes too and I don't get as over heated as if I wear layers IYSWIM. And at £10 for 3 (1 black, 1 white and 1 grey) in New Look pretty bargainous too...

Ooo - I haven't got any bump bands...good tip! I did see one in mothercare yesterday but it was flesh coloured!!!! !!!!!!??? Why on earth would I want a band that pretends to be the same colour as my tummy???
