bit random but does anyone know if the rice krispies in rice krispie squares are the same ie. fortified with vits and iron??
cereal is the most iron rich food but don't like having a bowl with milk much (and I'm allergic to oats, corn & barley:rolleyes: ) but I'd quite enjoy a scrummy marshmallow one!!

Ps. Anyone else find the ITV news headline "more downs syndrome babies being born than ever, despite free tests in pregnancy being available" apart from the fact that free tests aren't always available. I think its insulting to anyone with downs, suggesting they shouldn't be allowed to have been born

also if your belly button pops out that will be very sensitive (its never experienced being touched by clothes etc before) so i found it best to have it covered.

Oh Sami - this is my worst nightmare - possibly the thing that worries me most about being pregnant :o (I know I am wierd!)

I hate my bellybutton being touched (it is an innie) and pre-pregnancy it made me feel sick if anyone went to put their finger in. I am terrified that it will come out and still be as sentitive and I will spend the rest of my pregnancy feeling sick if anything rubs against it.

Hubby is keeping a keen eye on it (under strict instructions) and keeps telling me that I have ages to go yet and that it probably won't pop out at all.

    Ooo - I feel a bit tearful now :o

Aww bless your little cottons! well not everyones does pop out so you never know, there wasn't much room for my bump coz I used to be skinny so I guess it was inevitable for me. on a few occasions I put a plaster over it coz I didn't like it but I did get used it it - on the up side you can't get any fluff in it once its an outie :rotfl:

  • Good afternoon ladies.

I dont post that much, read all of your updates everyday though:o I just dont have that much imput I guess, or if I do someone has already said it if you know what I mean?

Well im 20 weeks on thursday, I have my scan on wednesday. I cannot wait to find out if she'll be pink or blue! Notice how I say she? LoL I have been calling bump the girls name I have picked for about two weeks now  Have a feeling I will have a suprise on Wednesday morning! I already have ds1 and would love a girl although Id love a boy just as much if you know what Im saying? waffle waffle forgive me!

Anyway Im glad you have all been talking about maternity clothes Tried to do up my fave jeans this morning and I burst into tears when the zip just refused to do up! :( So Im going to have to finally buy some maternity clothes... And I dont want too.

Also cant stop eating! I think I may have a problem - seriously! I feel hungry all the time and dont know if its healthy or not?
    Sorry to sound a bit boring but generally goes like this;

Breakfast wholemeal toast, fruit juice, cup of tea
then 2 satsumas and an apple
lunch soup with a roll or pasta
    then grapes, chocolate bar
For dinner another large meal chicken rice and veg, or stir fry or something
Then maybe more chocolate or ice cream and I cant stop snacking on toasted buns with philadelphia (sp) and prawn cocktail sea brooks at least once a day

Am I eating too much do you think?

sounds like a normal pre-preg day for me!(minus all that healthy fruit) I don't know how I'm surviving on the tiny amount I'm eating at the mo, still waiting for the urge to eat for two to come!
Think I might just have the energy to get dressed and drive the 1/2 mile:o to tesco for my iron rich foods now, deep breath here i go...

  • Sounds fine to me sparkle :D but then I reckon I am aiming for huge baby-weight gain (I am probably eating double what I ate pre-pregnancy :o ) I am a classic pig-out queen. Have never had a sweet tooth before and I am making the most of it now that I do!!

Good luck for your scan - make sure you let us know how you go on and whether you were right!!

I always waffle - even when I have nothing to say!!
    Any other serial lurkers reading??

oh I'm so confused I looked on kelloggs site here and it says Iron in the ingredients but doesn't have a value for Iron in the nutritional content bit just says Iron - as if there isn't any in it  maybe I need to eat 4 before I get some iron ;)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
DH could bathe baby each night when he comes home

We nicked that idea sb, it's genuis! They both enjoy bathtime :-) Himself does get up in the night as well, he does cuddles when Celia's not hungry (poor love has spent most of her little life feeling a bit poorly so far, so sometimes wakes just feeling miserable) and then sleeps while I feed so we both (usually) get plenty of sleep.
