Ladies, just wondering has anyone been mat clothes shopping on ebay? I tried on a pair of mat pants I had still in the wardrobe and as i suspected they are too small - and I'm not even showing yet! (well I have gained 2 dress sizes since being pre-baby) I wouldn't buy my new stuff off ebay coz I seem to be a funny shape but I'm wondering if it will be worth it putting them on? I was deff gonna put my xmas party dress as I know how hard it was to get one so I'm sure that will sell but not sure about jeans, work pants, plain t-shirts etc??

Sami, I reckon if they're from high-street places, they'd sell. I say that, because if I'd tried stuff on from say Dorothy Perkins and it fits my shape, then I'd probably look for bits from there on eBay. Get your dress on there ASAP! :)

Speaking of clothes, I finally got dressed at half eight (missed Morrisons) and intended to go out for some bits from Tesco before nine, but then my friend phoned and we chatted 'til quarter to ten! Oops! Have now phoned out for a Domino's delivery (very MSE actually, had a bargain offer for more money off than I spent!) so there really was no point in getting dressed at all today!

I will ask the midwife on monday, thanks for the suggestion. i'd love to just breastfeed, it is a bit of a pain having to be attached to a pump all the time.

Breastfeeding is not working too well for me either. She gets on ok but its just too sore. I showed the midwife last week how she was getting on and shes on fine, my nipples just cant cope with it! Ive been expressing and its a right pain having to pump all the time. Just bought an electric one to see if that makes it any easier. Gave myself a couple of days there where I didnt breastfeed at all to let me heal a bit and then tried her tonight. Managed half an hour before I was in agony and had to get her a bottle again. Im having to use some formula too as I cant keep up with the pumping. Being a mummy is hard work and its only been 2 weeks today!

thanks Elle and Caz, the dress is blooming marvelous and the others are all M&S and Mothercare size 8 so hopefully they'll provide the funds to get bigger stuff for me :)

  • I'm so glad that everything is okay for you elle...I'm a bit apprehensive about my 12 week scan in December, but hopefully everything is fine this time!

It's been snowing here in Brussels...and I'm hoping for some more today (I am like a five year old when it comes to snow!) We went out to the British shop yesterday simply because I wanted to get lots of sausages to satisfy my need for sausage sandwiches...which I am blaming on being pg and feeling sick most of the time! They do have very nice sausages in Belgium too, but it's the taste of British sausages (and whatever it is that goes in them) I want at the moment!!:o

The really sad thing is that my ability to eat chocolate seems to have almost disappeared now...I just don't feel like it any more, which is tragic when you are surrounded by the best chocolate in the world (in my opinion!). We won't go into how much I used to consume before my pregnancy...

Anyway, I shall stop waffling about food now...I'm supposed to be eating my breakfast...

  • well i gave in and went maternity shopping yesterday at lakeside, i ended up with two t shirts from look that were rather cute and 2 pairs of jeans and a pair of trousers from red herring in debenhams that were in the sale but i have to get the jeans taken up as they are too long, couldnt seem to find anywhere that did trousers with a short leg, its quite hard to find nice tops they are seem to be either stripey or flowery
now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j

has anyone else got snow??? got up at 6 and 7 for the usual toilet stop and then at 8.30 when LO got up i looked outside and its all white! kids are all excited so bang goes my tile shopping today! might go and put a big pot of soup on and eat the crunchies i never touched last night for breakfast lol:j

breastfeeding can be tricky for both as i found out i couldnt understand why i had so much trouble with no 4 and i think i didnt help myself with not asking for help:confused: i attended a B/F group and they said he was a guzzly baby an i should keep taking him off and on but then i would spray across the room lol! am hoping to give it a go again this time but TBH if it means expressing and using the odd formula bottle then its not the end of the world!
