oh another baby pic!!! is it just me or does everyone think that time is just flying cant believe how quick we get to the top of the list!!
well i never had my crunchie fix last night and never slept a wink i wonder if they are connected lol! what an excuse eh!:rotfl: :rotfl: after no pain yesterday i think i overdone it a bit as i have a bit of pain today? luckily not as bad as it could be though! so im off to buy a b/day present for my LO friend as i forgot i was his party today:rolleyes: . Oh is away to pick up new bathroom set so my hose is going to be chaos again!
hope everyone is well, labour vibes to those in need and pain relief to all us spd ladies:TWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
slscarborough - I'm not sure, some people can start loosing them weeks before going into labour. I was due yesterday though, so even if it doesn't come to anything, the end is in sight as I'll be induced on 5th dec (am still thinking this way only because DD was 2 weeks late and I was induced last time so not really sure what to expect at the mo tbh!). Mw booked me in for a sweep next week but maybe I won't be needing that?!
Aww thanks Toto, although the thought of it happening that quick is a bit scary! Still I'd rather it start happening sooner rather than later otherwise I'll be in pickle, too long to think about things isn't good! TMI alert but mother natures been helping me with clearing the way a bit IYKWIMso I guess thats another sign of early labour?! Just waiting for something else, thought I'd be getting back pain seeing as its turned back to back but nothing as yet...
Hows little Lily Anne, are your others enjoying the new addition? xxProud mum to Matthew born 23/11/08 7lb 13ozand Rosie 12/01/05 7lb 9oz0 -
Having a clear out has been one of the first signs for me. I certainly think you'll be going sooner rather than later. I always get a bit scared when it all starts but do remember no 2 labours are the same and you've already had one so this one should be much quicker than having to be induced.
I was induced with my first, and had 30 hours of pain, but my second started with backache at about lunchtime, didn't realise I was in labour until I got one almighty pain at 5pm and she was born at 5.30 I was trying to push in the lift at the hospital, only just got into the delivery suite on time. The third was 2.5 hours and lilly was 3.5 hours.
Lilly is a little gem, she's adorable and has the whole family besotted. She's spoilt already with all the cuddlesthey fight over whose turn it is. She sleeps all day at the moment and is awake all night, hopefully that'll change soon. Hubby has been home this week so he's been on night duty so I get some sleep. I'm expressing milk because after 7 hours of trying to get her latched on in the hospital the midwife suggested giving her a bottle. She's hopeless at breastfeeding so I'm pumping and giving it in a bottle. i don't care how it gets into her so long as it does.
I can't wait to see the photos of your new one. Good luck again and remember each contraction is one less you have to go through, thinking that got me through it to be honest. i had no pain relief at all so keeping a positive thought process was about all I could do.:A

Toto, do you have any community breastfeeding support available? Groups or peer supporters? Expressing and feeding is fantastic and much better than giving formula but if you can get lilly latched on then she will be able to get milk from you far more efficiently than you can...
Try holding her next to your skin a lot in a relaxed way rather than forcing the issue, but good support is essential...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Wow Toto, you must be super-mum! However, your story of labour with no 2 has scared me silly! Am now gonna be analysing every little twinge from now on just in case! Thanks though for your story, very encouraging and positive, I'm all fired up now and ready to go!
Sorry I spelt Lilly wrong! She sounds lovely and its so good they have all taken to her so well. I can't wait to see what my DD makes of the new addition when he/she gets here. Good for you with the feeding, like you say, it doesn't matter how it gets into her! At least the others can help out with feeding. Hope her body clock soon sorts itself out.....xProud mum to Matthew born 23/11/08 7lb 13ozand Rosie 12/01/05 7lb 9oz0 -

I will ask the midwife on monday, thanks for the suggestion. i'd love to just breastfeed, it is a bit of a pain having to be attached to a pump all the time.
Rosies, sorry to scare you, I didn't mean to. it'll be fine I promise.:A

Toto: a few tips im sure you have tried but none the less:
try skin to skin as KT says lying in a bath together is good just relaxing and allowing her to learn to latch, tummy to mummy, and place her nose to your nipple, head and body in alignment, but not holding her head so its free to move back. hoping she will tilt her head back and move it forward to get a good mouthful of your breast!
congrats on your beautiful baby!
have you tried the La leche helpline for now?
Sorry its not med advice all you regulators its very MSE as want to help her get her free milk!!!!:j  :j0 -
Hello ladies!
Just got back from my first private scan, so we got to see bubs for the first time!! :j
Everything is fine and heartbeat was very clear and strong. I am supposed to be 9 weeks 1 day, but I thought I would be a little less than that (As I know when I ovulated). I measured at 8 weeks 5 days - so just what I thought!
It really puts our minds at rest now, and makes it all very real.
We celebrated by going to Mothercare and Mamas & Papas to have a look around and bought a pregnancy journal to keep all my experiences and thoughts in.
The Sonographer was so lovely - she really made us feel comfortable and relaxed. And when she told us all was well, she seemed just as excited as us! We got lots of pics and we will give one to each of our parents.
I have now sent my husband out to get a pasty (It's not for me, it's for the baby!!)
