MSE Pregnancy Club III

Hi everyone, hope you're all feeling ok today!

First of all congratulation to Heather!!!!

Am in a really good mood this afternoon and seeing as I am not very busy workwise I thought I'd reflect on all the good thing of being pregnant.:j
So I have made a list:

Things I do now I am pregnant:

- Have really nice shiny hair & nails
- Eat what I want when I want (within reason;) )
- get lots of attention and support from friends and relatives
- look at all the cute little clothes & socks in the shops (I haven't bought any yet though in true MSE spirit):A
- get to fall asleep on the sofa at 7.30-8.00 PM and leave OH to do laundry/cleaning/washing up without feeling too guilty;)

Things I don't now I am pregnant:

- Have horrible migrains (spelling?), period pains and hip pains which I usually do:T
- I no longer look like 14 (I'm 26:o ) as all my spots have cleared up.
- Stress too much about work because I have more important things to think about.
- Have to carry heavy shopping bags up the stairs to our flat (OH wont let me).

I could go on...just thought it would be nice to focus on the positive and maybe it will cheer someone up.

Congratulations Heather!

I'm so jealous! I went to midwife yesterday & she said I was 2cm dilated & my cervix was soft so thinks baba will be here at the weekend.. she felt that confident enough not to book me in for an induction which I suppose is good news!

She did a membrane sweep & said that I would feel pains last night & may bleed slightly but not felt a thing!!

Anyway I would love to read all of the posts since I last came on but there is a lot of talking about McD's! I so want one now... so I've had to stop reading,

Anyway hope everyone is well! Keely your little man is gorgeous..


MFD you mentioned oatcakes...Scottish or Staffordshire?

Aww, he is just adorable, Keeley!!! Can you believe you're a Mummy yet? It took me ages to get used to the precious bundle being mine . Glad you are feeling better :cool:.

I just wanted to change my EDD, I had my scan yesterday morning, It was amazing and I was a week further on than I thought! Yay Wish I could skip a week every few days! haha. I didnt realise how nervous about it I was until OH said 'phew' when I gradually started releasing my grip on his fingers as we were talked through everything we could see!
It was OH birthday yesterday too, so it was really nice for him to see bumpski for the first time!

ARGH STOP MAKING ME JEALOUS! :rotfl:
Seriously I'm only 9 weeks and you make me wanna have bubba NOW - might be the morning sickness talking I grant you Went to Tesco this afternoon for food - came home and felt rotten! Grand! Monday I have to go to the office - a mere 45 mins to an hour each way... tuesday I have to go to our other office for a client meeting - at least that's only 30 mins each way... So much for taking it easy coming back...

Ooh, well done sparkle! I can't wait for my scan... Not even booked in yet so no idea when it will be... Roll on Tuesday and fingers crossed for no sickie bug this week!

And I love staffordshire oatcakes... cheese melted on and rolled up... Mmm... So not good for you!!!

Oh Tine, have you tried sucking boiled sweets? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

We're off up to Liverpool at the end of the month... Not too worried about the train (mostly because we managed to get first class cheaper than standard! But also because they have toilets on board...) But the In Laws (the nice ones) are taking us out to dinner then giving us a lift back... I'm a touch nervous about this part... Evenings are my worst times... and a big meal followed by a long car journey... Could be interesting!
