  • I had my MW appointment this afternoon and my BP is too high . She checked it 4 times just to make sure and although it went down a tiny bit, I have to have a home visit tomorrow for another check. If its still high, then I will have to go to the antenatal unit to be assessed and they will take it from there....

MrsTine, random thoughts but is there any distinction between you and your boss with regard to "levels"? We have "staff" and "senior staff" - the remote working policy is only available to senior staff.. Was just thinking maybe they'd try to get round it like that!

Also, is there any theory behind why driving makes it worse? (just curious now!) :)

No differences that have been highlighted to me... My title includes the words manager and hers is now "head" but she's been doing the same job I am doing with no difference to what she's doing now as far as conditions. Working from home has never been actively discouraged before now.

I don't know why driving seems to make it worse, I guess it could actually be stress of driving and the whole thing, but I definitely feel worse if I have to go anywhere by car - we had to go to the same town I work at the weekend and DH drove and I was just as sick and felt generally icky so I guess somewhere it's the driving. If I sit in the backseat I've always been prone to car sickness anyway and i wonder if it's the same thing? Don't know though...

Have you tried the travel sickness bands? I have these for travel sickness - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Design-Go-Acustraps-Sickness-Control/dp/B000WIWCVK. Just an idea in case you're forced to go back in.
