When we had our last scan at EPAU the sonographer told us that 12 weeks is the most acurate time to measure and date a baby and you have a window of about 10 days before it becomes inaccurate... I found it funny that she said that the head measurement she took was inaccurate (measuring 4 days ahead) because that would of been the original date of my dating scan if they hadn't cancelled it because of the earlier EPAU scan...

Do I still make sense anymore? I can't tell...

Well I rang the hospital today ref the whereabouts of blood results to be told theyve been sent to dr at antenatel, said i went yesterday and she said 'oh well Il send them to your gp instead', my antenatel visit with mw yesterday was at my gps?????? I got so confused with her I left it at that, do you think she means antenatel at hospital?

Anyway trousers are supertight today but at only 14 wks I think its all cake choc and takeaway, ive never eaten so bad but CANNOT behave, normally my motivation is that as I'm small it looks obvious as soon as I put on weight but Im gonna get bigger anyway.......

Any of this make sense?

Can I just ask, I had my booking in appointment and scan all on the same day, when I was 10 weeks on the dot.

I had my blood taken for the usual various things, plus extra for something new they are testing for (can't rememeber what it is called now, but it's to do with if any relatives of the parents are not british european).

If there was a problem with any of my results, do you think I would have heard anything by now? (I'll be 16 weeks on Thursday) Or do you find out at your next appointment??

I had to ask my midwife about my initial bloodtests as she didn't mention any results to me - she just pointed to my notes and said it's all in there, but don't worry, we tell you asap if there are any problems! when she took my 28wk bloods the MW said they's let me know if there was anything wrong/picked up, but to otherwise assume everything was fine. I got the results a week later as I had to pop in for a fit to fly letter and everything was fine!

I'm sure everything is fine with you too - have a flick through your notes and if theres nothing in there just ask at your next apt.

There's nothing new in my notes as I haven't seen anybody for anything since my booking in day.

I've got my next scan on the 23rd Dec, so I'll enquire then

Sickle cell maybe? Where are they from?
I was tested for that, even though I was tested last time and when I had my tonsils out.
I didnt find out my results until my antenal appointment which I booked for 17 weeks, everything was fine, 'm sure of there was something up they would contact you immediately x
