cazscoob - how are gone are you then? breast pads aren't on my list for a long time yet. maybe i need to reassess :D
  • No no no - tell me my boobicles won't start leaking any time soon  does it happen earlier for 'old-timers' ;)

Which reminds me - we were walking along last weekend and hubby said something about chesticles - and DSS (8) said 'what are testicles?' :rotfl: :rotfl: :o

Hubby went bright red and said 'I said chesticles' - only to then be asked what chesticles were :T :T

    I was wetting myself!

I told DSS that his testicles were his balls - which got greeted with a firm 'enough now' by hubby - I reckon they gotta know so it is better coming from us than nonsense in the playground surely

Oh - don't try the yoga if you have SPD (or any signs of it) pregnant ladies need to learn to be ladies as my MIL says!

Makes perfect sense to me :D

I'll see what my boss says anyway, if he won't play ball, I'll just take my holidays at the end of my leave and start my mat leave 4 weeks earlier, doesn't make any difference then does it?

Shellsuit: sorry if this is a bit silly but, as you say your paid cash, sometimes that means its harder to prove your earnings, do you still get proper wageslips and do you have a contract? as this would help you if they do start being ar*ey about it.

I'm so confused about what I'm going to do so if anyone knows can you help me please:A
I was on maternity leave with Chris and my SMP ended in June 07 then I was made redundant whilst on unpaid mat leave and got £2000 redundancy pay sept 07 I didn't have any earnings or JSA again until April - July 08 when I had a part time job then and still now I'm on JSA but that will run out in I think Feb 09 due to my lack of NI contributions. does anyone know if this will mean I don't get MA as not been contributing enough NI?

  • I think the more children you have, the earlier your boobies start working... I can't wait until mine start but only because my milk completely dried up before DD finished breastfeeding and despite the fact I'm trained in these matters, there's still a part of me that's paranoid no milk will come this time...

On the whole breastpad front, I bought a bumper 100 pack from mothercare when I had DD and still have half the pack in the cupboard!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

 Wow! It never happened to me at all with Poppy until after the birth so fingers crossed this time too! :D

  • Hi have no idea sami, but is there not a benefits hotline you could call? Or maybe the CAB?

I got maternity allowance with DD because I lost my job at 10 weeks but had worked enough qualifying weeks before... Don't think I'm entitled to anything at all now, seeing as I'm a kept woman...

Skinty; I think if I relaxed with my legs open like that I'd wet myself :rotfl:

Caz: that sounds about the time my boobs started leaking last time but I didn't leak larger amounts until later on, I still remember the embarrassment of forgetting to put my pads in and leaking in a white top at about 10am in the office - I had to sneak in the disabled loo and wash my top in the sink then dry it under the hand drier! when i got back in the office I told my fellow preg collegue and it was one of those moments when suddenly everyone goes quiet and your talking too loud so my "lovely" (male) boss replied "who's boobs are leaking?" - I nearly died!! thank god it was a small office and we were all pretty close friends so laughed it off

Baby no 1 I leaked from 27 weeks and had to wear pads - as I was one of 3 women in a team of 30 + men taht was fun (sometimes tehy are more noticeable) Fed for 6 months (she stopped by herself after a cold)

Baby no 2 from about 25/26 weeks. Fed for 11.5 months and was still leaking after a year of stopping feeding

baaby no 3 - can't remember (I'm useless!) He is now 2 year and 10 and a bit months and I was still feeding him until 2 days ago (when I had the cvs) So yes, I was feeding him with a full set of teeth and with pregnancy sore boobs!

Baby no 4 (this one) - am expecting to leak early, having only just stopped feeding!
