    Debt-free and Proud!
((Skinty)) Don't worry about being emotional, thats completely understandable! Hormones make everything seem 100x worse. I had a cry this morning because I forgot to do a load of washing yesterday! Feel silly now I'm awake and stuck it on.

The Babycentre website has an interesting page about pregnancy after miscarriage, maybe something helpful on there:
    http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/emotionalhealth/pregnancyaftermiscarriage/

Have you decided where you are having your scan done and when?

I thought I would get a private scan at about 8 or 9 weeks if I haven;t had a mc. I should see the MW at 8, so if I do it the week after that I will have reassurance that things are OK and then only have to wait 4 weeks till the proper NHS scan.

Not sure where to go as I am trying to find a cheapish one but also obviously want to be at a medical place rather than a 'vanity scan' place just in case something is not right.

I see my GP Monday and I hoped he might tell me if I could get an early scan on the NHS. I think I will feel much better once I've seen him.

oh skintchick dont worry you will be fine just need to relax!!! hormones are terrible things i was in tears the other night for o reason at all and all week on tv has been about adoption and i have to keep turning tv off due to it making me cry???

baby brain has made me forget when this started the last time and i just thought it was awful early?? i have breastfed 3/4 of mine as DD1 would not take, DS1 was 2 when i stopped DD2 was 14 months and DS2 was 9 months and was so sick that he went on LF milk. hoping to BF again due to cost/and also i hate freezing cold mornings and find it easier to pull them into bed put tv on and let them snuggle up and feed:D or s that me justbeing lazy lol! Oh hates me BF he feels that they are his and he cant get near me? also he finds it very tying. i have a quick let down reflex(think thats what they called it?) so if baby comes off once latching on i need to be careful as milk will hit the other side of the room TMI i know but its quite funny sometimes:L

Was talking to OH about BF, and he asked me if I'd go and sit in the toilet to BF when we are visiting his parents! He has never seen a woman BF, and imagined that I'd just sit there and whip my boobs out in full view of everyone!

Wondering what to do when the baby is born. I don't want it to have any bottles, but I go out once a week from 7:40 till 9:40. Either I take the baby with me (which means hiding in a toilet if it needs feeding or feeding it outside standing up!) or I leave the baby with OH and him spoon feed it if nessercary.

Caz, I think exploding milk happens to most women at some point or another... DD did it to me in the Dr's once... was a little embarrasing at the time lol...

As far as ownership of them goes, I remind everyone that they are mine first! I wake up sometimes and DD's having a quick grope of them, irritates the life out of me lol.

I panicked yesterday when I lost my bump, but I found it again. Its difficult to find under all the belly. I'm jealous of slim pregnant women!

FG, baby should be fine for the most part for 2 hours once a week, feed before you go and feed when you come back if needs be... it will probably sleep the whole time you are out...

LOL! That reminds me of when I was in hosp after DD - as I had a CS and she had clicky hips we were in for 4 days, so my milk had come in. DH and I took one boob each and were having a competition to see who could get it to squirt the furthest!
    (tmi, perhaps?! :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Dh doesn't mind b/f - after all, it means he never has to do a night feed! He also (perhaps another tmi alert) doesn't mind the taste and now has even perfected a method of getting hold of them without releasing milk :o But then he has had a long time to manage this! He is also a big defender of b/f.

I b/f anywhere - not brazenly, but I don't see why I should be carted off to a smelly M&B room to feed. Coffee shops have squidgy sofas that are good for snuggling back into. I stopped b/f in public when DS2 was well fed on solids - by that time they're too squiggly and likely to pull your top up too far - also they are ok to drink other stuff, such as water if you are going out for lunch. Slings are also good for b/f whilst walking around with titch.

Skintchick - we're all rooting for you. Hormones can be hell. Feel free to rant/ moan/ sob at us all you need to x

Give babe a good feed before you go out - it will be fine.

As to feeding in in-laws loo - don't. Whilst people may be uncomfortable with you feeding, there is no need to hide in the loo - if you need another room, try a bedroom - would your OH eat his tea in the loo?

    Hi - thanks for asking!

Took 2 attempts to get a sample - I have a retroverted uterus and the placenta was at the back, so the consult said it was technically a v difficult one. Appointment took longer than anticipated as a result - and he kept getting me to have a wee, as my bladder needed to be empty (due to retroverted uterus) and kept filling up quickly fom nerves. I was grateful for that - cos I didn't want to be all jiggly when he was doing it :D I kept my eyes closed - but Dh saw size of needle:eek:

Anyhow, went ok - stomach muscles sore, as if I've been doing sit ups. Bit tired still. No 'bad' after effects as yet, just waiting for results on hopefully Monday.
