    Hi - thanks for asking!

    Took 2 attempts to get a sample - I have a retroverted uterus and the placenta was at the back, so the consult said it was technically a v difficult one. Appointment took longer than anticipated as a result - and he kept getting me to have a wee, as my bladder needed to be empty (due to retroverted uterus) and kept filling up quickly fom nerves. I was grateful for that - cos I didn't want to be all jiggly when he was doing it :D I kept my eyes closed - but Dh saw size of needle:eek:

    Anyhow, went ok - stomach muscles sore, as if I've been doing sit ups. Bit tired still. No 'bad' after effects as yet, just waiting for results on hopefully Monday.

    Oh blimey, you poor thing, I hated the needle going in, I actually not on purpose saw it and it freaked me out, Da couldnt look at it cos he would of fainted :rolleyes:
    bet your glad the procedure is over with now, good luck for the results, I'm sure your bubs will be fine.

    LOL! That reminds me of when I was in hosp after DD - as I had a CS and she had clicky hips we were in for 4 days, so my milk had come in. DH and I took one boob each and were having a competition to see who could get it to squirt the furthest!
    (tmi, perhaps?! :rotfl: :rotfl: )

    Dh doesn't mind b/f - after all, it means he never has to do a night feed! He also (perhaps another tmi alert) doesn't mind the taste and now has even perfected a method of getting hold of them without releasing milk :o But then he has had a long time to manage this! He is also a big defender of b/f.

    :rotfl::eek::rotfl:

    My DH would die a million deaths if he read this!!! :D

    i too was wondering how you got on but i hadn't seen a post about it.

    you are sooo brave for going through all of that. even though i am not 'scared' of needles as such, i dont like looking at them going in and would not have been able to look at the needle you had. don't think my hubby would have even gone into the room tobe honest.

    hope you are getting plenty of rest. we are all thinking of you.
