I'm alright, pain is easing a bit and I can potter about the house again! I was scared for a while, thought I'd be on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy.

Are we going to be too pregnant to go to the London Baby thingy?
Oh dear! have you had a look at getting a support belt, they got loads on ebay.
I dunno, when is the london baby thingy? lol

I had my 'unofficial' scan this morning! I saw little bean - just the one, phew! She showed me the heartbeat, couldn't really see much else, my bladder was really full because she had to go to an appointment off the ward and then took ages to come back and scan me! I was buzzing all afternoon, now I know it's not just my imagination!

Not caught up with the posts yet - every time I come on there's about 4 pages to read!

Oh, cravings are orange juice and lemon curd tarts :D

Something I have been a bit miffed by......plus size maternity clothes dont exist if you are over size 20 to 22.

Although I have discovered that Matalan make stretchy pants for larger women that are smart enough to wear to the office! Yay! :D

Does anyone know of plus size maternity wear?

Oh and Bra's, I am a 44 C which only exists in Avon, but me babylons are getting bigger, so can I still get measured in M&S even though I dont exist in their ranges?

Im a 20/22 and 5'10" ive got most of my clothes from peacocks and they have lasted for ages and werent dear either. Not all stores stock them but you can look on line to see where sell them or order them online.

I have my first appointment tomorrow (yay!). Can anyone tell me if I need to take a urine sample with me... more to the point, the one from first thing in the morning???

I've read the letter and documents I got in the post, but it doesn't say anything about it. When I collected the letter from my doctors surgery the receptionist suggested I take a few sample pots as I would need them for my appointment... but it doesn't say anything in the letter. I am worried that this will be one of those 'assumed' things where they expect you to be psyhic.

    Confused

for my first booking in appt with my MW (i was 8 weeks) i didn't have to take a sample or give a sample. not sure if it is different in different areas though.
  • My Midwife wrote on my notes that I was unable to pee! We have to give a sample at every MW appointment here, including the booking in one. You are supposed to just know, they never mention it!

Ooooooooooooooooooooo me thinks me felt an ickle wickle "flutter"! Could it be? I mean can you feel them this early or was it my imagination??? I was quite low down, right next to where they did the scan... really weird! Like tickling inside... Am now 13+4 :)
also heartburn has set in with a vengeance - joy! And still feel icky :( Had to drive 3 1/2 hours to a client site last night late afternoon/early evening and then back today after a meeting... my lower back is really stiff and sore despite regular stops and moving round. At least I don't have to go back down until same time next month. Yay.

Feeling knackered so off to bed me thinks!

Hope all are well. Haven't had much time to post last few days with loads of work going on...

Round my parts (Wigan) you need 2 samples for booking in app one normal and one in a pot with a red lid that had some powder in it - the red one goes to the lab, normal one just gets the dipstick for sugar & protein.
both times I was given the pots before hand. I would take a normal one just in case and be prepared to have to pee on demand (not too hard when preg lol)

I've had a dodgy day, I think my mum may have seen my yellow maternity notes thanks to my cheeky son! she didn't say anything but brought up the fact I had actually asked my sis to come home this weekend and asked why that was, I told her it was coz I missed her as not seen her for ages (which is true!) well I'll be telling them 2mo so I'll find out then!

Tine: the first time I thought I felt Christopher I got really excited (I was about 15wks) but shortly after the flutter I let out a little trump:rotfl:

Oh Ps. I sent my scan pic to my few friends who knew I was ttc then pg and one who has always said she'd never have children is a week and a half further on than me!! had her scan today - I'm so happy for her!
