My pram has just arrived, and i've opened it to make sure everything is there - and have suddenly just been hit with the realisation that i'm having a baby!!!!!! Its only taken 27 weeks to sink in!!

Now i'm worrying about where to store it for the next 13 weeks. Mum and MIL both looked shocked when i said i'd ordered it because it's 'bad luck'!! But it was a bargain (and i suspect a price mistake on the website which has since been corrected!!)

Well any spending urges I've had have been put on hold... £428 for car insurance... has to be fully comp, has to be business use for both of us and fairly high milage... bah humbug...
BUT the good news is I should get like 5-6 months of expenses in decembers pay packet ;) Partially because I'm disorganised and partially by design - I wanted the pay out round then so that I could spend a bit on christmas without feeling guilty and hopefully pay a whack off one of our debts as well as putting something to one side for when I am on maternity pay... :)
Mine was £750 TPF&T, been driving for 5 years, but I had 2 accidents last year
Have had to canel it now though coz I got no car so wont even get a years NCD this year

You are having a baby!! Its odd isn't it.

My Mum is pram shopping. We live 250 miles away and only visit once a month, but she is still buying her own pram! There are some bargains to be had on eBay she keeps telling me.
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.

STEP AWAY FROM THE CHEESE!!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can handle a bit of mild chedder in a sandwich or cheese on toast but that's my limit.

I'm soooo not a dairy person (forcing myself to eat yoghurt now)

3 weeks does seem a wait doesn't it, but then time tends to fly also.

If anyone is interested in the Silver Cross Classic pram, with the proper wheels - have a look at this;-

    http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_417+54_10751_-1_14552_68747_10001_14552

This is the one i wanted from when I was first pregnant - but I couldn't justify the price. It hadn't found it for less than £450.00, whereas the Silvercross 3d was pretty much the same pram but with little wheels for around £300.

Anyway, I found this on Friday, for £299 including the car seat!! I emailed Kiddicare to check its correct (theres a bit of confusion in the product description!), and they emailed back that yes, this is the one, with these wheels, that would be supplied.

There were 40 left yesterday morning when we ordered ours - its down to 22 now.

I still can't quite beleive it - i'll let you all know if the right one turns up on Tuesday.

Well, 13 weeks to go now and we've got most of what we need - all she needs now is a name that we both agree on!

The pram arrived this morning - and its the right one!!!:T :T

I couldn't be more impressed with Kiddicare - although i've read some negative comments about them on the net. Brilliant service, and an even more brilliant price!!! (Although the pram isn't on the site at that price anymore. I suspected it must have been a mistake on the site - maybe i've been lucky for once in my life!!)

this is the one i seem to be thinking off now (after looking at it in John Lewis on the weekend).

the price is showing as £299.97 ... is that what you paid or was it on there cheaper?

i just can't make a decision re actually physically purchasing a pram. makes it all very very real. also, my husband's work colleague's daughter is wanting to sell her £800 pram for £300 but i am waiting for pics

Bizarre - it wasn't showing on the site yesterday, but is back on now (with 15 left!!)

Yes, we paid £299.97 which i think is great considering the car seat on its own is around £90.00, and the similar Silver Cross 3d (little wheels) without car seat is around £300!

Its a really lovely pram in real life, nice and bouncy and the pram part looks really cosy and snug for the baby.

I need to borrow a baby so I can take it out for a walk :rotfl:

Also, Kiddicare were great. Ordered Saturday, text & email received yesterday saying delivery would be today, then text & email received this morning saying delivery would be am. It arrived at 9.15.
