Decided to go home yesterday to tell Parents and show them the DVD of our son. 100 miles in to the 200 mile journey, the car broke down. RAC came out, and we got to our destination. Came home on the train today, and the train was so dangerously overcrowded that the guard let me sit on his chair in the room at the front, with all lots of buttons! The journey has really done me in, can only just manage to walk. Spending this evening lying on the sofa and crawling to the toilet on hands and knees because my pelvis won't let me walk. Perhaps I should ask for that referal to the physio.

Talking of prams, I think I've chosen! I'm tempted by the Inglesina Sofia pram:

Going to go to John Lewis and test it out soon!

Last night we had chicken korma (made of fresh chicken breasts and a Patak jar of sauce). We've got some left over and I was really looking forward to having it today (it's my new latest fad!), but now OH has just reminded me the midwife said I'm not to have reheated pork or chicken (but can eat them cold) - I think it was the risk of listeria. Do you think this rules out the curry? :( This midwife said it, but the one last time didn't *sulks*
Elle, I know it'll be too late now but I've never herd of this before and its not in the gov leaflet on what to eat in pg, as long as its pipping hot any bugs will be killed off - not that I take any notice of the what to avoid section anyway:shhh: I had chips n egg for lunch, dipped my chips in a nice runny yolk YUM!

    those who are looking at pregnacare the following was in my emma's diary pack;
Buy 2 month's supply of pregnacare plus and get pregnacare cream free.
to claim visit www.pregnacare.com/edpack and follow the instructions at the top of the page, the promo code you require is EMMASDIARY
it says the cream is normally £5.95

edit: just tested the link and it doesn't work - typical!
I went on the vitabiotics site from the error that showed with the dodgy link and added 2 boxes of pregcare plus to cart, put in the promo code and when I updated the cart and it added a free box of the cream so at least the code works - the tabs cost £13 tho

sorry to be a party pooper on the pram thing but can i add that if you get one of these prams that have a seperate carrycot, seat unit etc etc you need a lot of storage for thse things when baby grows out of them. my carrycot and car seat lasted until LO was 6-8 months and they are now lying around as have nowhere to put them?(luckily sister is buying this pram from me as i need phil and teds now) dont mean to be negative but if you have limited space its something to think about.

krystal i hope everything is ok and your takng it easy, its ridiculous they are making you wait until wed?

well as OH was away for the day i gutted my kitchen and me and kids done a lot of baking, a batch of twinks:D, rocky road, lemon drizzle cake and smarties cookies. they all look so good need to stop myself from going to the kitchen lol!

Well I've had a day of it... Fell asleep on the sofa last night and when DH woke me to go to bed I discovered I was bleeding... Fresh blood this time... Decided there was nothing we could do last night so went to bed... Called the midwives this morning and they said if it was settled wait till tomorrow / Tuesday and see my Dr... If it started again just go to casualty... An hour later it started again so we went to casualty.... 2 and a half hours later we left with an appointment to EPAU for Wed morning... It's so frustrating! I felt really fobbed off by the midwife this morning and I'm sure if I'd of seen the Dr they would of moaned that the midwife didn't refer me like they did last time... So instead we spend 2 and a half hours sitting around in a waiting room to be given exactly the same thing as if I'd just rung the drs in the morning.... DH can't understand why they couldn't just scan me while we were there... Me neither tbh....

Oh Krystal, i am sooooo sorry to hear that you were treated like that. I cant imagine how far wednesday seems for you. I'm sure it's difficult but i hope you manage to rest over these next few days and take care of yourself.

what you ladies doing in relation to vitamins??? i remember when i spoke to my GP he said i didn't really need any extra vitamins and i seem to recall the MW saying something similar. i know a friend of mine took something like pregnacare (and for breastfeeding) throughout her pregnancy.

ps. I used asda's own brand preg vits for my 1st preg, they have changed from capsules to tabs but I've got them again for this pg, did the job fine for me.
I doubt I could have the fish oil as we get asda fish oil for Christopher but you have to cut them open and mix the oil into milk/porridge I haven't been able to give him them for weeks as they make me hurl! - very good value tho - top tip I looked at some of the more expensive vit+fish oil liquids you give like medicine and they didn't have the proper EPA oils in them so not actually doing any good tut tut manufacturers!

I'm a bit dubious when it comes to vitamins. You don't know how they extract the vitamins and also what form they started off in... Also your body is designed to absord vitamins from natural sources, food, sunlight etc and it has difficulty in absorbing artificial forms such as tablets, so tablets tend to be stuffed full of the vitamin and your body will only absorb a small amount of it which is why, in the case of iron, you could end up constipated. They also stuff them full because they like to give the product a long shelf life so if you got a pack of pills that's been sitting on the shelf a good 6 months then you will get a lot less vitamins than someone who gets a pack straight from the factory... They do the same with infant formula...

ETA That's why a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg is better than anything.
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
