I think I'm going to go with this buggy, it's practically the same as the silvercrooss one but over £100 cheaper!

Knew there was something I forgot.. Mel, is there a Stuff4Sale covering your area? http://www.stuff4sale.co.uk/ It's like a cross between the local paper ads and ebay. There might be some drawers on there you can see a pic of rather than just read the description in the paper.

The baby section of ours (Grimsby) is huge.

Ooh - thats a nice one!!

I keep thinking i know what I want - then i see something different

But its the wheels on the Silver Cross that I love! I'm going to do so much walking with my big bouncy pram, that the weight is going to drop off me and i'll be like Posh Spice in no time!
(The reality of February in England might change this thought  )

Well I've had a day of it... Fell asleep on the sofa last night and when DH woke me to go to bed I discovered I was bleeding... Fresh blood this time... Decided there was nothing we could do last night so went to bed... Called the midwives this morning and they said if it was settled wait till tomorrow / Tuesday and see my Dr... If it started again just go to casualty... An hour later it started again so we went to casualty.... 2 and a half hours later we left with an appointment to EPAU for Wed morning... It's so frustrating! I felt really fobbed off by the midwife this morning and I'm sure if I'd of seen the Dr they would of moaned that the midwife didn't refer me like they did last time... So instead we spend 2 and a half hours sitting around in a waiting room to be given exactly the same thing as if I'd just rung the drs in the morning.... DH can't understand why they couldn't just scan me while we were there... Me neither tbh....
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

    Hiya Everyone,

I wanted to say hi as I've just found out I'm pregnant. Basically we have been trying since christmas with no luck, bought some pre seed last month used it and voila its here. I'm in shock at the moment I think. Full of tummy pains, got a horrid cold and can't sleep because I'm so excited.

I've been reading the money saving forums for years but never posted until now, felt now was the right time as this is our first baby and I don't want to tell everyone till 3 months so had to spill the beans somewhere hehe. Also I'm so nervous as I don't know whats going to happen next, where to go or what to do. I lost my mum when I was 15 so haven't got that mumly insight into all of this. I'm hoping this thread is going to be a big help!

Anyway hope everyone is doing well at whatever stage your at :j

Congratulations to you Ladylou and welcome to the forum :T :T

  • Oh Krystal - how frustrating. Try to rest and relax and not to worry too much. Are you not at the stage where you go straight to maternity yet?

Wed morning must seem a lifetime away - is there anyone who can take DD for a little while during the days to give you a bit of a break?

Aaah stay positive Krystal...hopefully everything will be fine.

Elle - thanks for the link I will def have a look on there see if I have one in my area, I've not heard of it before.

AM - That is the pushchair I have had my eye on for the last 3 months, however I advise trying to find somewhere that stocks it, as I went to look at it yesterday and it was quite rickety and not much room inside for babs...I still liked it but dh said it was a complete NO-NO...We ended up getting the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe, which is very sturdy it also came with pram liner, car seat, apron, rain cover. I paid £300 in the shop I got it from which is dearer than on the net but I know the lady (sort of) who owns the shop so trying to help her stay in business iykwim....

I'm kind of staying positive... There's nothing I can do so trying not to think of it really...

DD will be at school, although I have a flaming 'induction day' for the new job tomorrow that I already rearranged from when DD bought the sickie bug home... At least it's in the hospital though... And I figure sitting down listening to people talking, although not as comfy as lying on the sofa watching this morning... Is still not going to hurt is it... Not like it's manual labour or anything...

Oh and ironically... I have my consultant appointment on Wednesday and would of originally been having my dating scan but they cancelled that after the early scan I had, they dated me then...
