  • Re bras I think it all comes down to personal experience. Mothercare last time were useless so this time I saw a wonderful lady in my local M&S awhile back. As this is my second pregnancy, I've not changed as much as first time around and in fact, only went back last week to get measured/fitted for nursing bras.

I needed a 44 back and in the catalogue and phoning around, she couldn't track any down even though there were showing in her stock book. However, it was obviously my lucky day as there were some in my size at the bottom of a stand. The packaging has been "updated", new colours etc and despite the boxes being a bit squashed on these "older" styles, when she did a price check, they came up as £3 for a box of 2! Full price should have been £25 for the 2!! I was sooooo chuffed, was grinning like the cheshire cat with 4 bras worth £50 for £6! :T Tried looking online as I was I going to post the item number on here but its not recognised which is why they couldn't track them down.

Krystal - thinking of you, I think its awful how they treat people at times! I had to wait 2 days for a scan and then another 2 days once admitted to hosp for a second one - how can they not be able to scan at any time of day or night?!

    Yay MFD!

Glad the twins are doing well icklebeans (I luv your name, its so apt!)

Poor you mirrorimage - I'm afraid I'm one of those annoying ones who was never sick either!( mind you, I did feel it at times, but have a bit of a phobia of being sick so didn't entertain that idea for long!).

I'm a bit envious of you all getting excited about prams etc. DD is almost 4 so no need for a double, so stuck with the old travel system we had for her. When she got over 6 months, I then just used an umbrella fold buggy (unless getting loads of shopping) as it was much easier to man handle.

Best wishes to everyone else I've missed xx (otherwise my post will have taken up even more room than usual! Don't know why I can't do little posts, unless I have a quick labour, my birth story will be an epic blockbuster!!)

PS toto - hope you are well, unless your house is like one of those out of kim and aggie, you really shouldn't try and worry so much (mind you, I could do with taking some of my own advice! Its like an uncontrolable urge isn't it - as if my baby is gonna care if my skirting boards have been scrubbed or not?!) I've been and bought the raspberry leaf capsules today, may still need to work on DH! ;)

Glad it went well for you icklebeans - I have to say I don't envy you when they start kicking and punching - I feel like I am getting battered enough with just 2 arms and legs!!!

Which reminds me - has anyone else got a baby with stage fright?? Bubba will kick and punch me like anything and as soon as I say to hubby 'feel this' and he puts his hand on me bubba just stops  then as soon as hubby gives up waiting and takes his hand away bubba starts up again... It's so frustrating!
Has your OH felt bubba move at all?
What stage can they usually feel this?
    :j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j
  • My bump is kicking the hell out of me and I swear you can see it from the outside if you look hard enough but my OH felt it for the first time sat (23wks), everytime he tries it either stops kicking or moves and he hasn't the patience.
    MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £58774
  • Hubby first felt bubba moving (before he started kicking) by holding my bump tightly when I was asleep, he has also felt the kicking a few times but more through patience and perseverance than anything else!

Probably first felt from the outside at about 19 weeks??? I can't really remember :o (other than it was a saturday and I posted about it on here!!)

Millies mum - glad I am not the only one!

I don't know any other funnies for bras but my boss when I was a waitress called sausages "widows memories" and quite often told us we had eyes like a sh*t house rat!

Have you used these before? I've used tea and capsules and found them not very effective. Probably different for each person but would like to know what anyone else thinks! Tea was excellent, even drinking one cup you could feel the difference an hour later.
