Do they do anything different on a home visit SB? I have one Friday but not entirely sure why... I can remember practically begging fr home visits towards the end with DD because it was such a trek to the Drs but the midwife I had was really horrible to me!
And on the whole waiting in thing... We ordered DD new bed from Argos last week and it was to be delivered between 7am and 12pm yesterday... at 6:37am the phone went, it was the driver telling me he would be with us in about 30 mins... 6:37am though! I thought there were laws about people calling that early! Earliest delivery I've ever had though... And we built it last night and DD was so excited about sleeping in her new high bed... But she looks so tiny... She used to fill her cot bed and now she doesn't even reach halfway down....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

No, nothing different at all Krystal. She takes my bp, tests my wee, listens to the hb and just has a little chat.
I had homevisits twice a week during the last few weeks with Poppy and hated being a hermit (but had an extremely clean home! :rotfl:).
My word, he was an eager driver! Must have wanted an early finish.

I can't wait until they start doing the heart beat... Only 12+3 now though so probably won't be for another few weeks...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Krystal - I have had the same experience with Argos - possible because the depot is only 20 mins up the M6 from us! Still - I would rather that they called when they are going to arrive bang on 7am...you never quite believe they will do you!!!
SB - report ongoingit's a massive piece of work so takes ages...deadline is around 14 November (unless I can swing it with the printers to let me run later!!)
I am going to have nothing left in my house if I don't stop throwing things out...I keep 'clearing out' things! I have always been a bit of a hoarder so there is plenty to keep me occupied...I even made a start on my desk drawers at work this morningplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
I have a dilemma!
I went for a job interview for a big promotion a few months ago for a government dept. Never heard anything back so I assumed I'd been unsuccessful. They just called me and asked me to start training on Monday. Now, I don't know what to do! Should I tell them straight away that I'm pregnant? I'm 10w6d today.0 -
blotted - if its government (local or otherwise) then your job will be safe...they should know the rules!!
Congratulations, I would accept and start your training on Monday and tell them whenever it feels right.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
help ladies???
still on about a pram here.
as you may recall the M&Ps 8in1 combination at present seems to be the front runner, however i would like to see the silver cross deluxe (in person).
can anyone else point in the direction of a website that has prams with four largish even sized wheels (not the stroller type wheelers) and for the handle to be continuous across (i.e. not two seperate handles) and it needs to look like a pram (as in bubs laying down).
kiddicare etc aren't much joy at present and i dont seem to have many choices.
thanks0 -

Angel, Have you looked in local independent pram shops? we have 2 really good ones local to me and they are the best place to research prams IMHO as they are usually very well informed with lots of feedback from previous customers and really know the pros and cons of each pram and how to put them up and down. if you don't know of any local to you try looking at stockists on silver cross etc websites or I found a good one for a friend in leeds coz they also had an ebay shop that I found when checking ebay to see if I could get pram cheaper there xx0 -
