Thanks Shelley will start using in the morning.glad it's not too late.
Hi becs.
Glad to help. Not sure if you know (and if you do please ignore me) when you press your m button in the morning you have to press it to set what they call your testing window time. The time you press it gives you 3 hours either side in which to press the main button on the monitor everyday and use a test stick if the monitor requires it.
For example....on day 1 (or 2 if I'm late pressing it) I press my m button at 8am ish. This means I have to press the main button on the monitor between 6am and 11am.
Don't go to the toilet before you have pressed the main button everyday though!!
If it wants you do use a test stick you have to use your first pee of the day.
For me its quite easy because I am using mine as part of a trial and I have to collect my pee everyday. I do my first pee into a jug every morning then go back to bed :rotfl: When I get up I press the main button and if it wants me to do a test I just dip the stick into the jug of pee for 15 seconds.
I hope that helps and if you need any more advice ask here or PM me. I am on my 3rd cycle using the monitor.

Thanks Shelley,
I haven't even opened it yet. Bought it on ebay last cycle and the MSE bit in me didn't want to unwrap it just incase! Just off to bed now to open it and read the instructions! Sounds simple though. Definately think I shall be collecting too as find that easier! Thanks for the advice, I'll drop you a line if I have any problems.

Do I know you?
I had no help from my supervisor and she had no clue what am I doing! At times I thoght if I say that red is actually blue she will believe me!!!! And I too had crying no end days, and I even had papers throwing around the dining room once... I had my viva in January this year, but got a job in November 2006 which helped a lot as I loved my job! We went for honeymoon in December 2007, and my internal examiner was very kind to organise the viva during my honeymoon to which she got a very tough reply! She rescheduled it for January 7, knowing well that we only landed in UK on January 1st after nearly 4 weeks in New Zealand!
Phew, got that of my chest... Sorry. Enjoy your honeymoon - are you going anywhere nice?
Feels kind of nice that I wasn't the only person to have "issues" when doing it....Also just read the other post from yesterday from Hedgehog28 as well, seems like more people than I thought were as unhappy as I was- always feels like you are the only one at the time though.....
My industrial supervisor was total cow to me as well, hello, PhD stressful enough without that too thanks  Glad you got through your MPhil (?) in the end and managed to cling onto your sanitynow we are risking it again with ttc
We went to NY and Las Vegas for actual honeymoon in Dec 2006, squashed into 1 week, with hindsight would have done it diffeently, as with many things.....
The holiday/2nd honeymoon (to make up for being evil cowbag first time round) in Jan 2009 is to NY only, for 6 nights this time, longest I'll have ever been thereI booked it in Feb this year and got really good deal with direct flights etc for <£600 ppn so well chuffed. Have booked tickets to the Lion King and going to the revolving restaurant in Times square, where we went on actual honeymoon and was fab!

(MPhil - Master of Philosophy, one under being Doctor). Have a great time in NY! Now, just be a good girl and tell as you planned it so well, that your best days in the month are probably when you are there! I hope you will enjoy your time!
We are going to parents in law this Christmas for 17(!!!!) days. I'll probably need a straight jacket by the end of it. But, we also have Christening in that time and we are the godparents!!!! Now, just what to get our godson - I have no idea!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
I am also trying the SMEP sort of....I can't really do the ov tests as can't really pee in a pot at work in the afternoon and the whole not drinking anything for 4 hours beofre testing after work doesn't appeal (I would probably forget and have a big cup of tea!) so am basing it on temping and CM as much as possible, however on CD25 since ERPC and still haven't seen temp shift so I have my fingers crossed that I am not one of the ladies that has to wait for millions of weeks (well I have heard it can take up to 10 weeks) for ov to occur after the operation. However thought I had a tiny bit of stretchy CM yesterday so hopefully it will happen soon (DH hopes so too as he cannot cope with my demands

Thanks, we will not be too MSE when there (well I will need to turn my brain off a bit for this to happen!) are it is planned as the last big blow out before hopefully having a baby and then not being able to afford anything like that for a long time.
(I couldn't remember if you said MPhil or PhD before and didn't want to get it wrong)

Hi
Please can I join? OH and I decided a couple of days ago we are now ready for a baby :T So exciting! I've been off my pill a couple weeks (I ran out because the stupid doctor only gave me 3 months instead of 6 and I didn't realise!) So I was going to go back on it but we were talking and decided that we really want a baby now!
I am a regular on MSE, been coming on here for years BUT we haven't told anybody we're trying (some of my friends know who I am on here) because we don't want to build it up into a big thing, I know how long it can take and I don't want to have to keep saying to all my friends and family every month, no we're not pregnant yet!
Anyway I've had a good read through this thread, not read it all but read quite a bit and my god it's all gone right over my head!! I thought it was just a case of doing the deed as much as possible and around ovulation time and then hope for the best! I've had a look at the abbrievations so I kind of know what you're talking about...but not really :rotfl:
I think my AF (ooh look at me using the lingo!) is due on the 30th Nov, I am very regular, almost to the hour, it's quite scary :rotfl: And I'm on a 28 day cycle. I've been on the pill for about 8 years, I had a break for about 6 months earlier this year because my new GP "thought it best." I'm starting to think he wants me to get pregnant actually
:rotfl:
I'm really hoping I get pregnant very fast because my period absolutely floors me when i'm not on my pill, I end up in bed, shivering and burning up at the same, I have very loose bowel movements the whole time, I'm sick, I have bad headaches, I get the most painful cramps, it's just not a fun few days reallyGod knows how i'll cope with pregnancy/labour  :rotfl:
Anyway I'll stop waffling now! Looking forward to joining in the baby making chat
