You're all going to hate me now. I come swanning on this thread and straight away get a BFP!!!
So the bleeding I had when I was expecting AF might have been implantation bleeding? Not sure as it was red. I wasn't really symptom spotting as I was sure my periods were just messed up but I guess the sore breasts which I've had for over a week now might have been a clue and last night when doing a headstand in yoga a bit of sick came up (Sorry TMI) but that was probably just the shock of being upside down :rotfl:
Goodness, I can't sit properly now, worried I'm squishing things :rotfl:.
Thanks to everyone who posted on here. Reading all your thoughts really did help me. Good luck and baby dust to you all.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Afternoon people.
Just been to Boots to get some cough mixture with the expectorant stuff in it to help with the baby making juices
I am now of the thinking that throwing everything at it (so to speak) cannot be a bad thing so now taking/will be taking:- Asda Preg vit tablet
- 2 x evening primrose oil & will till ov (for juices)
- 1 x 500mg red clover capsule (full of bits of green stuff!) & will till ov (for juices)
- Raspberry leaf tea (as many cups as I can get down my neck in a day usually about 2-3 big mugs) & will till ov (for juices & apparently is a uterine tonic or something else strange  )
- Cough mixture (few hours before BDing) will try this tonight
Evil antibiotics may well be taking affect with the current infection I have (poss. from operation, if to add insult to injury) so that's a bit yey! Was wee bit upset last night as had in my head when pg that at my birthday I would be a few days off 12 weeks and would get a wee pic of the bub to show people and tell them the good newsanyway we can be keep trying again and hopefully all the stuff I am necking each day will help things
Ok rambling now, will go back and look busy as I am at work0 -

Is there any benefit to drink Raspberry leaf tea when ttc, I know that its recommend when you've passed 29 weeks pg to help with the labour (I tried it when I had my dd earlier this year and didn't see any benefit), but have never heard of drinking it while ttc?

Raspberry leaf tea encourages contractions so you are not supposed to take it until late in pregnancy - I'd avoid it if I were you.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Have just looked in to Raspbery Leaf Tea while TTC and there's a mix of plus and minus on the subject. The one real negative is you can't take it during 2ww or once you conceive until 29+ weeks as it can cause cramping (it meant to help speed up/bring on contractions).
Think I make take a miss on this one as I'm never entirely sure when my 2ww starts and don't want to risk anything.

Yup, have also done many searches on it and gets mentioned inquite a few ttc threads over the years. What I have taken from the info I can find is that most women seem to take it from AF up to ovulation (as I said in my OP) and then stop for the 2ww as it can do something to do with uterine contractions (and hence the advice to start taking it nearer the end of the 39 weeks). Some swear that it helped and I know when I ov as temping so I see no harm in taking it if some think it might aid something along. Found the following on google search-don't know if all is true but as long as you don't take it past ov seems to be ok.
RED RASPBERRY LEAVES (Rubus spp.)
Brewed as a tea or as an infusion, raspberry is the best known, most widely used, and safest of all uterine and pregnancy tonic herbs. It contains fragrine, an alkaloid which gives tone to the muscles of the pelvic region, including the uterus itself.
Most of the benefits ascribed to regular use of Raspberry tea through pregnancy are traced to the nourishing source of vitamins and minerals found in this plant and to the strengthening power of fragrine - an alkaloid which gives tone to the muscles of the pelvic region, including the uterus itself. Of special note are the rich concentration of vitamin C, the presence of vitamin E and the easily assimilated calcium and iron. Raspberry leaves also contain vitamins A and B complex and many minerals, including phosphorous and potassium.
The benefits of drinking a raspberry leaf brew before and throughout pregnancy include:
~ Increasing fertility in both men and women. Raspberry leaf is an excellent fertility herb when combined with Red Clover.why I also got some of this
~ Preventing miscarriage and hemorrhage. Raspberry leaf tones the uterus and helps prevent miscarriage and postpartum hemorrhage from a relaxed or atonic uterus.
~ Easing of morning sickness. Many attest to raspberry leaves' gentle relief of nausea and stomach distress throughout pregnancy.
~ Reducing pain during labor and after birth. By toning the muscles used during labor and delivery, Raspberry leaf eliminates many of the reasons for a painful delivery and prolonged recovery. It does not, however, counter the pain of pelvic dilation.
~ Assisting in the production of plentiful breast milk. The high mineral content of Raspberry leaf assist in milk production, but its astringency may counter that for some women.
~ Providing a safe and speedy pariuntion. Raspberry leaf works to encourage the uterus to let go and function without tension. It does not strengthen contractions, but does allow the contracting uterus to work more effectively and so may make the birth easier and faster.
I checked supermarkets for it with no luck as it has to be from the leaves of the raspberry bush rather than just raspberry flavour- I did a search online and got some Heath and Herbal or something similar, 20 tea bags for about 1.65ish but you can get them on ebay too and seems to be the same type (although more expensive than where I got them) if anyone wants the actual website, let me know and I can dig out the details from Hotmail.
This is going to be long when I post it!0 -
If you want to combine your Raspberry Leaf and Red Clover (saving money in the process), Holland and Barrett combine them in their tea bags.
