hello! can i join this thread please?
me and OH have been officially TTC since last month, we thought we had done it first month, but AF eventually arrived over 2 weeks late on sunday.
so it looks like im going on a 6 week cycle so will be constantly bd'ing from CD8 every other day till whenever AF arrives, were both going to be shattered LOL
we already have a 2 year old daughter, we were very lucky and got pregnant first month with her0 -
Hey GracieP you're right, it was London but not a part we go to often. Didn't know about the men not drinking, or the ibuprofen thing and how much is too much caffeine? Sorry, just have to ask someone. Is there a good website that lists all the (sensible) dos and don'ts?
Actually I'm quite enjoying the novelty of not drinking at the moment. It's interesting to see how people change when they drink and nice being able to make it home and not have a hangover the next day. Also I love trying different fruit (non-alcoholic) cocktails.

Well I'm trying hard not to symptom spot, particularly as I've got a cough anyway so lots of symptoms could be down to that rather than pg anyway! Not sleeping very well at the mo but definitely think that is down to cough rather than anything else.

The main thing I'm really trying to do all through the month is not take ibuprofen apart from cd1 when I need it or would be in agony! I read somewhere it can damage the follicles (?) so I'm avoiding taking any wherever possible.
Hi Annie.
I wanted to thank you for this info. I read this last night and it immediately worried me as some months I take Ibuprofen quite often. I take it alongside paracetamol for period pains, back pains and migraines.
I dug out our fertility consultants e-mail address and dropped him an e-mail. The following is taken from the reply I got.......
**Regarding the Ibuprofen, it is absolutely fine to take it for period pains, as there is no chance of being pregnant then. It should not be taken regularly around mid-cycle, as in some women it may inhibit ovulation. In practice this is usually only an isue in women who are taking it pretty much everyday.**
Hope thats helpful to you and others. I had no idea!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
i dont really drink very much so thats not a problem for me. the caffeine thing is though. i have about 10 cups of (mainly) tea a day and ive cut it down to three max at the mo, drinking decaff sometimes and trynig to up my water intake. i know your not meant to take pain killers so the first few days i cut down on tea etc i had a bit of a headache and i ignored it. unfortunaly for me if i ignore a headache itll just get stronger until i get a migraine.
so there i was 3am sunday morning in tears (which makes it worse as i get stressed) with my head feeling like it was in a vise and i couldnt sit still.. in the end i had to take two paracetemol and 2 co codemol and drink a strong cup of normal tea. after about half an hour lying in a cool bath it eventually went.
since then the headaches havent been so bad but still with me daily, especially by the evening. although last night i had a dull headache and then forgot about it, and feel fine this morning. im hoping thatll be the last of them.. at least until i cut them out completely. thats the prob i have too.. they say dont cut it out completley but its like my body knows exactly what im doing, even when i do it slowly!!
baby dust to all! xxxxxxx0 -

Another one who's definitely not pregnant first time round, I am spotting a little this morning which means that AF should be in full force by tomorrow morning. This means at least i know that i have approximately a 26 day cycle, so day 1 as of tomorrow then, I'm tempted to try the SMEP but i'll be a fair bit behind the others doing it....does anyone else fancy doing it with me?
I'm hoping for a perfect two-lined Christmas present next month!0 -
