Kmckee I'm not sure how I would be either. I guess big part of me would want to know what had happened but then sometimes not knowing is easier to deal with.
I don't know what's going on with my cycle, AF is usually 5 medium-heavy days. This month I had 1/2 day spotting, 1 day medium and 1 heavy then nothing! I've never had a 2 1/2 day af before it's weird! Oh well nicer to get it out the way sooner I guess. SMEP kicks in on saturday, I can't believe how quickly the first part of cycle goes around then the 2ww (or 10 days) in my case seems to take forever! Hoping that short af will mean nice early ov for me this cycle!
becs, are you planning to use tests to find out when you're ovulating this month as your cycle was different? my cycle was wierd too for the first time so think i might buy some tests to find out when i'm due to ovulate...0 -
Hi Greenr,
I use the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor so will continue using that. I like to know what exactly is going on each month not just for the TTC point of view but because of my tumour. OV shows up any changes really early so I can get hormone levels checked quickly and meds adjusted accordingly. I did get obsessive about "performing" on specific days when monitor said but then managed to give myself a good talking to and I now use the monitor but don't let it dictate my moods so to speak. We do still make the effort to bd on said days but we make alot more effort to make it special rather than necessary!0 -

just googled the clear blue fertility monitor and saw the price  .... obviously it's worth the money for you if it helps with meds etc. i've just bought some cheap ov tests so will give them a go. it says that mid afternoon is a good time to test but i don't get home from work till half 4 so hoping they will still work ok.0 -
I didn't pay that for mine Greenr! I bought mine for appx £40 off ebay. The tests are expensive but it's a greta machine. I tried ov strips but never got the surge so they just didn't work for me.0

Oh no, lots of nasty AFs in the last few days, here's a big ((((hug)))) to you all. And for the unhappy OHs too - this ttc business can be hard for us all.
Becs - hope the meds for your OH do the trick, and hope you're doing OK with it too. I know what it's like to live with someone with depression. I never could bring myself to ask if it had an effect on ttc.
Kmckee - so sorry to read about your friend, what an awful thing to happen, have a big ((((hug)))) for you and your friend.
Leopardlady - enjoy your time away, relax and enjoy each other. Could be just what you need. I may be tempted to join you!
And ((((hugs)))) to all the poorly people! I have a bit of a cough but it's not too bad. Tinksy - don't try to go back to work until you're properly better.
Hello Mancbird and Agutka!:hello:
Hope I've not forgotten anything!!:D:D
I'm on CD16, guessing I'm 3dpo, roll on the next 2 weeks! I've been really stressed at work the past couple of days, trying to keep it under control as I don't expect stress is conducive to ttc, but it's not been working very well.
Nicki - thanks for your answers to my questions, that really helped.
I love this thread, I'm learning so much, about ttc and my body, plus it's great to have a place to vent frustrations / share positives with people going through the same thing, I can't "talk" to other people in the same way.

Gena,
it's MAdMac with the oh on depression tablets, I think my dh just comfort eats without the depression!0 -
Wow, we've been busy tonight!
Didn't get to go to nephew's sports day as it was cancelled:rolleyes:, but I did get to see the IL's which was nice as I wasn't expecting them today and I get on really well with them. :j
Decided tonight to take the plunge and start officially planning our wedding:eek:. I'm looking at dresses at the monent, and suits and dresses for my niece and nephew.
OH's just text his mum and asked what her first dance song was, she said she doesn't remember so I asked OH if he heard it in the womb as his mum was 3 months pregnant when they got married!:rotfl::rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

One tip (from one who knows) do not pick a 6 minute song for the first dance if neither of you can dance :rotfl:Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0 -
I can dance bitzer, OH can't, although we've already got our first dance(s) sortedSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -
