I dunno if this is the right place to post, but me and my partner are just thinking about trying for a baby. How much should we put to one side, how much will we need for hospital fees, baby products etc. What would you guys recommend?

welcome moneymouth77, i would say the only thing you need to worry about when ttc is taking folic acid as soon a posible. Putting some money aside for when the baby arrives is a good idea, you will need to buy a new car seat and a mattress for a cot, but everything else can be got free or very cheap, e.g second hand. I would say just start taking folic acid and have some fun for now.

    Baby dust to all :)

Hi moneymouth, can't really answer that one! We haven't stopped to think about the money side of things, we'd just deal with it as and when really!

Hospital fees - well, free on the whole with the NHS - but am assuming you aren't UK based, so couldn't answer that one!

As for all the stuff you need - well, you could car boot or freecycle for quite a bit of stuff I understand, and make do with the rest as and when?

If you are thinking now, start taking folic acid supplements - they recommend to start at least 3 months before you try to conceive.

    Good luck!

Kmckee, yup have tried the CM internally - so has OH for me! Can't say it added much to my knowledge of my cycle, but I thought it was worth knowing about.

Now I just OV test and temp when I think the right time is.

    Hi Ladies.
sorry not been on in a while, my stupid computer decided to die on me, and it was fixed this morning, I did try to go online from work, but it wouldn't let me.

But im back now, and would like to tell you all about this funny thing that happened. As you know I dont get periods anymore, and im due to be going to the lovely new consultant to start my Clomid Next Friday 26th June. I have decided to put the operation on hold for the time being as my knee is doing ok at the moment.

Well anyway the one question on my form was when did you lastt have a "natural period". To which I answered 7 yrs ago. And within 2 days of filling out my form and sending it back, what happens I get a natural period completely out of the bloo and it last a full 6 days. TMI ALERT. It was very very heavy and very clotty mixed with some very old blood by the looks of it and some fresh blood. So now im even more confused as to what my body is upto. Do you think my body could be trying to get back to normal?? or what is happening.

Well im back onlnie now ladies so will be back in regular contact with you all.
Speak to you all soon. and lots of babydust to you all.

I'm glad you enjoyed the boys;)

And I'm sorry you feel so down about AF doing a disappearing act:(

Can I join you in feeling down? I did some googling earlier (which I know you shouldn't do about medical issues:o) about my Crohns, nasty medication and pregnancy. Didn't really read anything I didn't already know so I don't even know why I looked:confused:

    Must stay positive!!!:j:j:j

Big hugs to everyone feeling down / pee'd off today xxxx

I'm on CD26, nothing to report today. I don't think it will happen this month, but every time I go to the toilet without a sign of AF I hope a little bit more.
