For those of you charting, do you still BD lots around the fertile period?

I was charting back in January when I first came off the pill, but I couldn't really figure out when my ovulation day was. I can never tell if the CM is egg white or not. I get CM most days - I've no idea if this is normal or not.

Our tactic is bd every other day at start of cycle and then every day in fertile period (inc. a day after ov) and then have a bit of rest for a couple of days :o

I'm on my third full cycle off the pill and only noticed any ewcm last month. I get CM pretty much every day, but it varies in amount/colour/texture over the month. I found it a really grim idea at first, but now I know my body a bit more I just *have* to know whats going on, its really interesting to be able to detect physical signs of hormonal changes. I am such a geek  I do check my cervix and cm every morning and I temp too, and I use a monitor. OMG I never realised I am such a control freak!:rotfl:

I don't know if it's my over sensitive side but not liking the inference that those of us that are charting or using monitors are somehow obsessive. I know from my point of view being 36 and having been trying for over 2 years with a pituitary tumour cocking up your hormones, my monitor is absoloutely invaluable to me. I've managed to pick up rises in my hormone levels before I've even had blood tests which means I can then arrange a test to check them and adjust meds accordingly. Unfortunately not everyone is young enough with a clean bill of health to be able to accept the happy go lucky approach to TTC. It certainly does not mean that we are obsessives or mean that our TTC is any less fun than anyone elses. Each to their own I say, I'm sure there are women who would obsess using these methods but it needs to be recognised that there are some of us for whom the luxury of time is not an option.

I think maybe you are being abit oversensitive. If anyone says anything about being obsessive I don't think its because they mean to be spiteful or anything.
I don't think you're alone in not having the advantages of being young and healthy... I bet theres a few on here who have problems they haven't mentioned. Everyone is on here beacuse they WANT a baby and for each and every one of us it will be a mini miracle regardless of if it was easy or difficult! (I was going to say hard but my mind was naughty:o;))

For me it will be a big miracle:j

    Hi everyone,
Well like you Annie I had started to dare to hope that the teeny bit of spotting i had last night was implantation. However cramping all day and af has now shown so onwards to next cycle! It's anooying as means same asd last month that lp is now dropped to 10 days from 12! So cd1 tomorrow, maybe the capricorn horoscopes mean June conception! But over analysing again if it were this month and managed to ov on cd14 then would be ov on fathers day! Perhaps that's fate!

Loving the pma about June conception! My spotting's been going for 3 days, so reckon CD1 tomorrow too. Perhaps we can be buddies although I OV anytime between CD15-22 (lp normally 12/13 though) I agree with the obsessing thing, although I do accuse myself of it as well. I still resist temping as that may push me over the edge, and prefer the CBFM and FF.

    Baby dust to all
    2009 total raised £2373.60:j

    Hi CedricKerry,

The pma is the brave face! I've spent most the afternoon in tears and still feeling pretty crap but trying to get over it and get on with next month. Can't change anything by dwelling on past months attempts. I would say at least I can enjoy a drink whilst away on holiday next week but they don't agree with my medication so that's out the window!
We could definatelybe cyclebuddies I have been ov'ing anything from CD13 to CD18 in recent months and as I said LP was 12 days but now this cycle and last have been 10. Lets hope we bring each other lots of luck!

Wow Shelly, I needed to take a deep breath before looking at those pics :D

But thank you anyway! How's everybody doing? I've finally finished for the day and am cooking sausages for now and for later after a glass of wine when I get the munchies ;)

Hope you're all keeping well and enjoying the weekend, hugs to those in need and good luck to the others! x

When I saw them I thought about asking my consultant to take some pics of my insides next time he is doing a smear to see if what's left of mine looks any different.
Haven't yet plucked up the courage though :D

No worries, but I'm not sure I would want to see what mine looks like! You would be very, very brave to ask as I know I couldn't :rotfl:

    Morning everyone

can i pick some more experienced brains please? i woke up at silly o'clock this morn, took temp, then realised it wasn't even 6am! Went back to sleep and took my temp again when I woke up ( matter of minutes ago) and the temps are 0.8C apart, with the later one being higher.

Which would you record? The first one is consistent with temps over the last few days, but, if my cycle is similar to last month then I'd be scheduled to OV around now, I had EWCM yesterday and cervix high/soft/open - so I'm not sure if this is a genuine temp spike?
