Well I visited the Dr on Friday evening and he thinks I may not be ovulating - which is in agreement with what I suspected. Having the blood tests to check whether I have ovulated. Having them on CD28 due to my long cycles.

I'm on CD72 now though so need to wait for CD1, then another 4 weeks before I can even have the test done!

Then if / when that comes back negative I'm having the test done again, but later in the cycle to see if we can catch the result later on, and at that point H2B will get tested too. It's good that somehting's being done but it all feels like a really long way off before we will find out anything!! the last time my cycle went this long it went to CD91 so I really hope it's not another 3 weeks before CD1, making it 7 weeks from now before I can have the bloods done IYSWIM?!!

On a more positive note (?) my boobs are really sore today. I'm hoping that's because AF is about to arrive and not just beacasue they got bounced around doing the race for life yesterday afternoon!!! LOL!
  • Hi all,

I'm a newbie to this thread and am probably posting a bit prematurely but am after some advice.....

My finance and I are getting married in September. We are planning on trying for a baby as soon as we are married and I'm wondering if i should start taking any supplements or whether its too early? (Folic acid?) any advice would be great. Also any suggestions of the best place to get the cheapest supplements would be good.

Thanks again all. And good luck with the baby making!! Will be a regular member soon!!!

    xx

We started taking folic acid in January and have only just started TTC, they say you should take it about three months before. The sooner the better.
  • Its funny, my gf's sister just called her the other day and announced that her and her husband will be trying to get preganant and asked if she had any tips. Some good ones in this thread

Oops edited to add, the link takes you to graphic real life pictures of a womans cervix and mucus during a cycle.

Wow!! That is really interesting! I get a little bit lost with all the, soft, hard, open, high etc but really puts things into perspective.

    Thanks for sharing :T
