Well said elastgirl, some people want it all, others are just happy with quality and love. Well done, I will have to work a bit, but i work from home with a very understanding colleague, so hopefully that will mean i get the quality and love as well as being able to afford a little (paid very badly but happy with my work
)
baby dust to all, and enjoy your eveningsLeopardlady

Oh hells bells - just wrote a long post and got kicked out and told to sign out again! Grrrr. Not a good thing to happen in the mood I'm in - need more BDing obviously..
Leopardlady - how on earth are you managing to hold it all together while waiting? If I had all your symptoms I wouldn't be able to hold out, so well done you and I look forward to hearing news on Wednesday. Fingers still tightly crossed for you - and toes, arms and anything else I can manage!
Nickynoo - just do whatever is right for you and your family. You will no doubt get comments flying your way, but just remember people will be jealous on the hole and the green eyed monster cannot help but make digs. Make a decision and you won't regret it x
Personally I could easily work more from home, but without a baby I just haven't got a good reason to do so yet! So I'll keep praying to anybody who will listen and hope I get lucky soon
Vixarooni - blimey, that is a question! Well, we all ovulate at different times, depending on our cycles. I test using OV tests (testing your pee) and using basal body temperature as another guide. On my usual 27 day cycle I OV about day 12-13 - but it does differ a little with each cycle and, like I've said, it is different for everyone. There are lots of websites out there that help you work out a rough OV calendar depending on your cycle length. If that doesn't answer your question, sorry! Please ask again or wait for somebody more coherent to come along0 -
Hi all,
Congrats to all the BFP's I have missed, didn't realise how quick this board moves lol will make sure I check back daily in future!
Well, since I last posted, I think I have been going slightly insane  As some of you might recall, OH agreed to start trying for another baby a few weeks ago, my last AF was mid Feb so the plan was to wait til this AF and start with all the temp testing and all that. Thing is, have never really had regular AF cycle so have no idea when to expect her. Anyhoo, past week or so, my body has been behaving very strangely, I have sore boobs (assumed AF on her way but no sign), have been having wierd nightmares (only time in life have ever had these was when pg with DS), am shattered all the time and about twice a day, I get a slight cramping in my lower bellyI have also had some backache but I reckon this is down to having a 4 yr old who still loves to be carried about
I have a feeling it is my all in my headNot done a test yet as don't know when to test lol is not as clear cut as waiting on AF as I don't know when she due to put in an appearance. I suppose it is possible, but highly unlikely, reckon it is just my mind playing tricks on me?

Good morning Jovichick,
I know how you are feeling, apart from knowing when AF is due. I really am beginning to feel it is all in my head. I peed in a pot today, but didn't test and poured it away again!
I have a very strong feeling AF is on her way, so it looks like i will have to wait another month! Oh well TTC cycle 12!!!!!! I may have to move threads, but i want to stay here.
Sorry i am struggling very badly today, as i sooooo want the symptoms to have been real, but now i think they have all gone, and now i just have to wait for AF. Thanks for all your support and encouragement, and i am sorry for my ranting and raving, i know i am going a little crazy! (My OH is amazing for putting up with it!)

Hi everyone,
Not sure if I'm in the right place - if I'm not please feel free to move me, I won't be offended!!!
I came off the pill in October last year and so far have had cycles of 49, 35 and 28 days. I'm currently on day 49 but no sign of period yet, and BFN when I tested this morning.
I went to the doctor this morning to get some advice about my irregular cycles and she said give it another year and if they haven't settled into a more regular pattern she'll refer me to the fertility team. Another year?!!?! I wasn't asking (or expecting!) to be referred to a specialist so soon, but thought she may have been able to give me some advice about regulating my cycles or when to test for pregnancy given that my periods are sooooo irregular! She did a fantastic job of avoiding answering my questions. It's the little things about not knowing that get me - like not having a few glasses of wine in the evening, just in case! Or popping to the toilet more regularly just to check if my period has started. My husband is very supportive, but I'm not sure he understands how stressful it is in the same way that you girls do!
Has anyone else experienced irregular periods who could offer any advice? I've spent the last two weeks thinking 'can I test?', 'maybe I'm pregnant', 'perhaps my period is due today but then again perhaps it isn't'. I don't know whether I should accept what she has told me or go with my husband and push for some answers!
Sorry for moaning. Just very disappointed following BFN this morning and then the doctor just topped it off!
Thanks for reading.0 -
Thanks Madmac, i was only wondering for the future really. My family are notorious bad breeders, it took 13 years for my mum to concieve me and im worrying that the same will happen to me! I recently told my mother that i always know when i ovulate, and she said that she never did so that maybe i wouldnt have the same problem, as i would know when to step things up a gear so to speak!
I was just curious to know if any of you do know and whether it may help at all knowing, or whether it actually doesnt make anything any different at all! Cor thats a mouthfull to read.
oh and good luck everyone trying0 -
Jovichick, thank you for the update. You just never know until AF finally arrives, but do you know when you last OV as that might help you work out when to expect AF? There are a few sites out there that try and predict for you - I use this one as the free bit is enough for me to keep track of AF and probably OV times!

Leopardlady, I am still thinking postively for you as well - only one day to go and it amazes me how you are still holding back, I'm so proud of you (and you put me to shame). But either way, either you can then start planning the BD sessions for next cycle on this thread or move over to the BFP one! Hang in there and rant as much as you want. x
I have also thought about posting on the 12+ month board due to my age but it kind of frightens me making that step - almost like saying to yourself you are getting past it! I'm feeling the pressure from my OH now, although he is trying to stay calm and unflustered but I can tell different. Oh well, we'll keep trying!
Mrsmb - lots on here will tell you that it can take a while once you are off the pill for your cycle to settle, or it might just be normal for yours to jump around a bit? It might be worth you testing for your OV times and so on and also to use an online planner to try and average your possible fertile points from your cycle lengths so far?
Doctors can be experts at avoidance and nothing else at times, I personally don't have much time for my one as sometimes I'm sure she just isn't listening to me - so it is entirely up to you how you take it and whether you think it is worth going back?
I think to say outright to wait a year is jumping the gun a bit - maybe make the point that it should start from last October, so you would see someone this October - that might prompt a more in-depth doctor's appointment, with a few more answers! Fingers crossed and hang in there x0 -
Everyone is different vixarooni
I don't know the exact moment I ovulate, but I am getting better at pinpointing OV symptoms. If you can learn to read your body, you stand a better chance

Thank you Madmac, I just signed up to the site, it calculated my AF as being due today  Will wait and see what happens, no sign as yet, other than the random things mentioned earlier! Normally my skin gives me the first sign AF on way, tend to get at least one huge spot
It did say that my estimated OV date was right about the time when OH agreed to start trying again so will just have to wait and see. If nothing in a few days will probably test...
Leopardlady, going to keep everything crossed for you, hope AF stays away and you get your BFP soonIn the meantime, rant away!

Thanks everyone, i am feeling more calm now. Just thought that i usually spot for two days before AF, and have not, and usually get that one big spot, but haven't. So not giving up yet, but trying to stay sensible.
Thanks you are all soooo supportive, i think i would have spent a fortune on tests if you hadn't all been here.
