    Hello all you lovely ladies!

I haven't posted on this thread before, but have been lurking for a while. so congrats to those who have BFP and good luck to those still trying.

I can't believe i am going to ask this as it still seems too good to be true.

OH and i decided to 'stop trying not to get pg' at the beginning of the year.

I am 4 days late (on a pretty regular cycle) and an ebay cheapy showed a very faint line this morning. Could this be a bfp? other tests that i have done in the past have showed nothing in the test line. I am hoping that even a faint line at this very early stage could be good news? My mind is working overtime!!!!!

It's very unlikely to get a false positive, so try again in a couple of days

    Fingers crossed for you Faye

Daisychain, just read about your line, fingers crossed for you as well hun

Hoping AF stays away for both of you

    Good morning all :)

I hope that all those with feint pos, can hold out for a couple of days and then test again, i am keeping everything crossed for you all.

Well I told OH last night that i think we have missed the boat this month, and he is really down. I have said i could write the dates we need to get very busy somewhere for him, but we both agree this is still too planned, and he would like it to be more spontaneous.

Oh well i am on TTC cycle 10 this month, so we will see how things go for a bit, then i think i will make an appointment with my gp and take it from there.

Sorry not feeling very positive today, i think i am tired as i had to call australia this morning at 6.30 for work, so have done all the work i had to do today already, and now just want to spend the day with friends doing silly things, or gardening, but it is raining!

Sorry for the rant. I hope that everyone else is more excited with life at the moment, just think only 2 days until the weekend :)

Very sticky baby dust to all :)

Hi Faye, I agree with everybody that a positive is a positive, so try to stay calm and test in a couple of days or so - the longer you wait, the stronger that line will be, hopefully! Fingers crossed for you and for Daisychain also. Could see another two BFPs on here this weekend ;)

Oh Leopardlady, I send you a big virtual hug. Spontaneous? Who is he trying to kid? Men! :rotfl:

But do take it as a positive that your OH cares so much, it is better than the alternative! My OH just says 'oh well, there's always next month' while inside I'm screaming that there aren't that many months left for me! I feel older and older and am now getting nearer and nearer to 40 so know my days TTC are seriously numbered. So always feel free to rant and I for one will share a mini rant with you quite happily! xx

Thanks Madmac i needed that hug :), it was me telling OH that there is always next month ..lol!

Oh well lets hope we are both successful soon, and we wont have to worry about our OH's strange understanding about ttc, we will just have to worry about them helping out with a baby!

    Have a good day all:

Baby dust is huge sticky sprnkles everywhere:)

I am wondering if anyone is around to talk sense into me? I have had my rant this morning, above, but now with a very strong metalic taste in my mouth, bad gas, bloating, severe tiredness, despite a very good nights sleep, heartburn - which i don't get since taking medication against it everyday!

I am an emotional wreck, although i think you can see that from early on today, i have been like this for the last few days.

Now i want to test despite being 5 days away from AF.. please stop me, or encourage me, i ahve one e-bay cheapie left and a FR in a drawer hiding.

I really can't stand this metalic taste!!!

Leopardlady I was like you at the weekend similar to the symptoms you described but decided there was no way I could be pregnant as me and OH had completely missed my window according to the ovulation calculator and I put the heartburn down to a rather dodgy curry lol. I did a couple of tests and they were neg. However the icky metallic taste got stronger and some tastes i love started to taste weird plus my period didn't arrive when I figured it should.

Yesterday at work I was bending at the photocopier and i felt really sick - did a test yesterday and got a faint positive on a superdrug test - went and bought a first response and got a positive without doubt. I think I ended up being a week out in my cycle (even though I know I am normally a regular 28 days) and therefore only conceived two weeks ago tomorrow - which would tie in with more of the biological signs that I had at that time.

Guess what I am saying is that the whole thing started with the horrible metallic taste which I couldn't shift and I had no other symptoms at first. The taste in my mouth started a good 2-3 days before the heartburn. So go for it with your first response test - they are supposed to be accurate up to 6 days before.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you

No - they are supposed to be capable of detecting some pregnancies up to 6 days before. In fact their false negative rate at 6 days before is alarmingly high - around 48% from memory! By the day before they are about 94% accurate (again from memory), and by the day after a missed period around 98%

That is one of the two problems of testing early - the first is the risk that you will detect a chemical pregnancy, which you wouldn't otherwise know about.

Well ladies I'm out for the month, AF's just arrived.

I now got a new symptom when she's due though, my bbs give me some serious agony the night before. Thats the worse pain I've ever felt in them

Hi Leopardlady, us talk sense in to you? That made me smile! We are all as bad as each other I reckon when we start to get that little glimmer of hope. But bless you darling, I have everything crossed and as I am always being told, you just never know until AF is in full flow! Try to wait a few days and see - perhaps you're a bit more emotional though for good reason, so here's hoping xxx

    Maisie M - congratulations!!

And Nunnygirl, join the club - you're a few days off being my cycle buddy, but sorry you are joining me anyway. Ermm, probably TMI but I get very sore when we've lots of very active BDing in the previous week, so perhaps there could be a simple reason for the pain? Anyway, here's to next month x
