    Hi All,

I hope those of you with dodgy AF cycles get some success soon

I went to the doctors today to let them know, which was actually quite exciting to tell someone!! They will send me out an appointment for the booking appointment in a couple of weeks, and I going to see the health visitor at my surgery next week:eek: It's begining to feel more real now:rotfl:

I got a positive result with afternoon wee for my DS.

After a lot of thought & heart searching we have decided to carry on TTC for another year when I will be 44, if nothing has happened by then, we will abandon it as we feel that we will definately at 44 & 49 be too old to cope with a baby.

We have never done temperature charting, I have been & bought a pack from boots, how long do you have to be charting before you can see a pattern of your cycle & how do you know when you are fertile?

Sorry for sounding thick after already having a child already, but we had only been married for eight months when we fell for DS & the passion seems to have died down since then.

I am heading towards 42 and i have noticed that my cm is not what it used to be, which is normal as you get older it reduces. Which means that the window that we have to conceive is smaller as the sperm need cm to survive. There are things that you can do to increase it such as drinking lots of water, some women swear by grapefruit juice, others royal jelly. I am taking maca and have noticed a difference in my cm and my cycle has got shorter . There is a good book called taking charge of your fertility by toni weschler and she has a free website with lots of info. If you do the bd every time you have cm then you will maximise your chances of a bfp. I am sending you lots of bd.

Morning all, well i am on CD22 and no ss for me, i am very convinced that we have missed this month, which will be very gutting for both of us. My best friend is 9wks today and has only really told me, so she is using me as her friend to call on and ask silly questions, which is lovely, but i just wish i could give her advice from first hand.

OH is now keen on bding, having not had a chance last week, but i don't think he realises that this is just for fun, as i do believe my luteal cycle is longer that 6-7 days? But i suppose we can still hope, nothing is certain until AF appears or doesn't. I am having fun and only sometimes feel crap, so i will try and stick with the positives and take it from there.

Loads of sticky baby dust to all :)

Hi all, well count me out this month - AF has arrived with a vengeance.

Probably TMI but after we have been BDing often around the right time in the month, AF always seems much heavier and more painful. I was reaching this morning and haven't been as bad as that since my teenage years! Oh well, at least being on CD1 means not long to wait until we try again!

As an aside, would anybody like my now discarded pot of Sanatogen Pronatal with about 28 of the original 30 left in it? PM me if you would x
  • I am in need of some advice from you ll please, As you will see I tested yest aft with what can only be described a "few drops" of forced urine, well It was a twin pack and curiosity got the better of me with the first one of the day this morning(i know, I know I shouldn't have) but after 4/5mins there was a very very faint pos but I don't know what to think as it was def a BFN yesterday, I am only 2 days over due, but I can't stress how faint this line was, not sure what to think!! I guess I just don't want to give myself false hope! :(

Well, step away from those tests for today at least!

A faint positive is a good sign, not a bad one, and maybe wait another day or two before testing again and hopefully the line will get stronger. No, I will say it will get stronger and we'll be celebrating with you on here! Fingers crossed x

i agree, daisychain there are no false positives, so wait until tomorrow, or preferably the weekend and test again, with the first wee of the day, this will give the hormone more chance to strengthen. I look forward to celebrating your good news in a couple of days :)

daisychain80 your hcg levels are just prob not high even yet, give it a few days i know it's hard then test again but it sounds good to me. I had the faintist line ever on my first couple of tests and it wasn't untill well over a week i had a clear pos. I will def have to sit on my hands and wait untill i am a week late next time.

Iv'e got a bit of cm and not hubby home untill sun grrr will do a ov test tomorrow just to see what it says.

  • Thank you all for your replies, I know you are right I just feel like I am in limbo right now not knowing, I will try my hardest to leave it until next week , thats of course providins SHE doesn't turn up, my lord I hope not.

I guess I just nervous when I saw that very faint line I went into a blind panic and felt sick with nerves until OH came out with "thats not even a proper line is it?" so I guess it's time for the waiting game, although laid in bed last night I thought I felt a twinge of a period pain, Thanks again ladies I shall keep you posted.....

Baby dust to each and everyone of you x
