I've been TTC for a while now but haven't got to the stage of using fertility monitors

If I'm not pg this cycle (5 days late but BFN and no sign of her) I am considering looking into getting some as I feel I am at the stage in my life where I am ready to bring a child into the world (18 months ago I would never have said that!!)

    Hi all!

I'm another newbie - I've been ttc for a couple of months and I'm getting on a bit so I'm not too sure how long it will take. Also it doesn't help that someone at work is pg and someone else's daughter is pg as well.

    Hi Cedrickerry,

I've found the monitor has made things less stressful for me. However I let the monitor do the work and ignore any other symptoms such as ewcm. The monitor has had me ov'ing on day 19 of my cycle now for the past 2 cycles. It used to be around day 22 and I know that was correct from previous temp charting. I guess what I'm saying is I really wouldn't let it worry you about it not giving you a peak until later in the cycle.

  • Hey all,
I`m getting more and more confused with myself today. I`m been scatty all day and tired for the last few days, exhausted rather than sleep deprived kind of tired. My tummy is feeling bloated and heavy, apparently last night in my sleep I wouldnt let OH cuddle me with his arm across it, however I also accused him of stealing my ice cream about 3am lol. I`m very active in my sleep. I`m eating loads and never feeling full and at work I had a dizzy spell, but work is always red red hot so that may account for it.
I`m only on cd 11 is it possible things have already happened? Is it psychocamatic? can you still have af if you already pg, it was a light one for me but the one before that was positively horrific.
What do you recon, should I test just in case???

Fishcake, certain women experience something called "Decidual Bleeding"
Another common cause of bleeding/spotting during the first trimester is something called decidual bleeding. Decidual bleeding occurs in early pregnancy, before the lining of the uterus has completely attached to the placenta. During this time, a part of the lining of the uterus can be shed, causing decidual bleeding. This sort of bleeding/spotting during the first trimester is thought to be caused by an imbalance of hormones.

There's nothing stopping you testing, but just don't be heartbroken if it's BFN
