  • Thank you again for all your replies, I have actually felt a little better today, I think talking about this & realising I have some support is really helping. I actually managed to achieve a few things at work today & I rang the doctors as soon as I could (before I lost my nerve) & managed to get an appointment with the counsellor for 18th Feb! I'm so glad, I feel like maybe I can get better. I really don't want to go on anti-depressants if I can help it as last time they seemed to make things worse rather than better, terrible nightmares, unable to wake up on a morning, unable to feel any emotion etc. Hopefully just talking things through will be enough. It's such a shame that there is such a stigma around depression/mental health problems as it makes it hard to speak out about how you feel.

I feel so much better now I know that I'm not the only one who worries that I'm a 'fraud'/out of my depth, isn't it amazing what you learn when you just try talking to other people about things. I might try to talk to the one lady in my office about this. I also hope that I can do as well to protect my daughter, & even educate her when she is older, about this as some of your mothers have.

Your hugs have all been appreciated, & I'm now looking forward to tomorrow as I don't work Fri's & we go to Waterbabies. On a TTC note I have very little hope for this cycle, which I think has upset me too, I'm due AF on Sat & the faint line I got on my HPT must have been due to a fault as I did another test & it came up a BFN. However, I have my fingers firmly crossed for all my cycle buddies, I would love to spend the next 2 days reading a row of BFP's! And I'm sending lots of baby dust to the rest of you who seem to all be at the right time for lots of BDing!

Hi Nikabella, glad to hear your making progress already. Everyone on this thread is so nice aren't they! We will always be here is there is anything else you want to chat about - I'm sure stress effects TTC so it's not that off topic ;).

Still no symptoms to report. Feeling the need to test but resisting!

Hi can anyone who has been using the clearblue monitor for more than a couple of cycles offer any advice? I'm on my 3rd cycle using the monitor, the 1st cycle I had 5 highs then a peak on day 20, 2nd cycle I had 5 highs then a peak on day 22, this cycle I am on day 17 and have had no high. I had been charting previously and 90% of the time I would ov on day 20. I read that 5 highs is normal 1st cycle but then on cycle 2 can drop to less. Does anyone know whether this can happen on cycle 3. I'm really worried as have had to double my medication that I am on this month and am concerned that this may be messing the machine up!

Hi becs I am using the same monitor and I am on cycle 5, though I can't really give advice I can tell you my cycles since using it.

Cycle 1. Had high status from day 9 through to 24 with no peak. This is normal while the machine gets used to you apparently.

    Cycle 2. High on days 15 & 16, peak on days 17 & 18.

    Cycle 3. High on days 11 & 12, peak on days 13 & 14.

Cycle 4. High on day 9 through to 13, peak on days 14 & 15.

Cycle 5. High on day 10 through to 22, peak on days 23 & 24.

As you can see the results do vary month to month.

As you say you have doubled your medication this month maybe its messed up your cycle.
I'm sure the monitor has a helpline number in the back of the booklet, maybe call and see what they advise?

    Sorry I can't be more help :o
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • My results on the monitor vary each month too. For the first couple of months I got highs from cd9-cd19 then 2 peaks. This month I had highs from cd10-cd13 then peaks on cd14-cd15. Much earlier this month. It could just be that you are O'ing later this month. Good luck.

    Thanks Shelly & scottishchick,

I got a peak this morning so pleased about that but odd that it went straight from low to peak!
  • Anyone on cd2?? Would really love a cycle buddy. Just had coil removed last month and don't have a clue about my cycle length but thinking frantic bd'ing should be done around valentines day, does this sound right???
That works out well if so cos going on night shift for 2 weeks at end of month so will be too tired to think much about 2ww lol.

    Hi Helen,

Yes temp will rise after ov, you usually get a drop day before or day of ov then sharp rise. Then it will continue to rise until AF or continue to rise if you have a succesful conception.
  • Hi all, not caught up with the thread properly yet so hugs to all that need them and hope u are all tucked up warm on this snowy Friday!!

Well I am now on CD36, my longest cycle since coming off the pill has been 37 days. So I thought I would test this morning as mymonthlycycles has my average as 34 days (thats my excuse for doing an early test and Im sticking to it, lols!!)

So I tested with a cheapie first thing and counted the 3 mins, not the most scientific way I know, and right towards the end of the 3 mins I convinced myself I could make out the faintest line possible!! :o So I took it into HB who was still asleep in bed, I put the light on and asked him to have a look. He wasnt impressed, lols, but through squinted eyes he said he couldnt see it!! TBH I dont think having just woke up was the best time to look.

I looked again a bit later which I know isnt the idea AT ALL but still think I can see the line, unless that is the evaporation line people talk about. Trouble is I dont wanna get my hopes up today as I got my hopes up before on our first month of TTC I thought I saw a line but think that was a dodgy test as that took a whole 10 mins just for the liquid to soak up that far!! So, who knows!! HB is telling me not to get excited yet which Im not, I just cant help wondering. Not really had any symptoms bar a cold, does that count?? And tiredness, oh and achy teeth but I get that from time to time.

I will keep you updated, I will do another test in the morning if AF still hasnt arrived. If that also has the faintest line in history, perhaps I will buy a digital test to try on Sunday and get a more definate answer.

    Hi Guys,

well AF still going strong, so on CD4 at the moment, I will be your cycle buddy pookie.

I think bding around valentines sounds like the right idea to me! That is my plan, although with a cycle of between 30-31 days i think that ov should be around later that week, so starting around valentines is good for me :)

Baby dust to all and hugs to all who need them.
