I think if we miss it again this month we will definetely get some of the OPK's off of ebay as our temps look like join the dots too!
Ah right I didn't realise you could have an lp which was too short - the things we learn when TTC, it's fascinating. How typical for your cycle to do that to you, our bodies never seem to co-operate do they! I'm sorry to hear about the tumour you have but hopefully 2009 is the year for both of us.
Is this your first you are trying for or do you already have children? We already have a DD & you would think that would make me more laid back about it - OH keeps saying well everything must work in that case - but it makes me feel more stressed. I really wanted our little ones to be close in age but my family made me feel pressured into leaving a bigger gap, then we finally decided it's no-ones decision but ours. As my DD has just gone 2 it means that the gap will be quite big anyway so I feel like every month we miss is another months age gap. I know a lot of people spend years struggling to get pregnant & I should just get a grip & put it in perspective but it's not always that easy.

I think AF is on her way. I normally have a 32 day cycle which would have meant AF was due yesterday but I didn't ovulate till CD20 so I think it will come tomorrow. I've resigned myself to the fact that I won't get pregnant this month but it's still hard. Good luck to everyone else though. x:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

Hi
Can anyone remember how long it took for their first af after coming off the pill and how heavy it was? I finished taking the pill at the start of Jan and my withdrawal af came on 9 Jan as expected but then yesterday I started getting some very light bleeding which has carried on today. Not sure if it is my first af or not. Seems very quick and also a bit too light but then looked at nhs site which said af usually returns after 2-4 weeks.

No it's our first. We got married in April 2006 and wanted to try for a family straight away. Had af at the end of our honeymoon then not again until June last year! As you say how typical of our bodies! I was 36 last week as well so feel under pressure timewise. Hoping the clearblue monitor will make things easier for us. Had thought they had sorted the hormones/tumour out with meds but latest test shows levels high again although fortunately not high enough to have stopped ov or af yet! So double the doseage and see how we go. ALot of women get pregnant fairly quickly on the meds that I'm on so hoping doubling the dose may increase our chances. Will make extra efforts this cycle! My yearly horoscope said we would have family news to celebrate in october so here's hoping! Good luck to you too!0

Rose when I came off my pill this time my period went straight to a 31 day cycle, with me having had AF just a couple of days after stopping the pill.
However, the last few times before that when I came off the pill my cycles were all crazy for a few months. I found that if I stopped taking my pill I would have AF straight away (very heavy) & then again 2 weeks later (not too heavy) & then 3 weeks etc up to a more normal cycle length.
I have always had real problems with the pill though as if I didn't take my pill at the exact same time every day I would start bleeding & the bleeding would last until my next break in the pills  !
I think everyone is different so this could well be your first proper AF.

becs try not to worry too much about your timescale with regards to your age as my close friend has just had her 2nd at 37, even after having a lot of problems, & nearly all the parents at my DD's baby classes were 36 when they had their first.
Good luck with the increased meds!

Thanks for that Nikabella. We just started ttc last week so we were just getting into the swing of things, so to speak, and now everything has ground to a halt again. I've been on the pill for 10 years so i'm used to having clockwork af's, i'm not keen on her just popping up whenever she feels like it!

Okay ladies, I have to share. AF was due today, but hasn't shown up. I am usually v v regular so did a test this evening and got a very faint positive. It was an Asda test, and the line is/ was definitely there (OH could see it too) but it did take the full 5 min to appear and was faint, although definitelt pink (as opposed to a grey evap line).
I am so unconvinced that it is real though- I've bought a clear blue to test first thing in the morning and will report back. It is so bizarre as I thought I would be delirious with excitement but I just don't trust the result:rolleyes: .
Anyhow, as I said, just wanted to share with you lovely folks.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
