  • Well I am not happy with my body-yet again it is being very weird. Last month it gave me all the pg signs that I never get otherwise and BFN.

This month AF was a day late, started yesterday afternoon with a bang, however my BBT that morning was still sitting in the post ov zone, right up at the same level and actually really high for me at 98.4 F, pre-ov is below 97.7-ish. But is def AF that came on yesterday, very bad cramping, required co-codamol and proper flow etc so not late implantation or anything exciting and it is still here today with the cramps (thanks!), but my temp this moning was still 98.1F so I have no idea what my body is up to?!? I tested yesterday morning, as temp was still high and AF hadn't shown and was BFN. Also have sore BBs still :(

My chart for last month showed a major drop right down from 97.9 to 97.2 in the morning of the day AF started so this is a new occurrence.

Has this happened to anyone else here? As I understood it the progesterone level drops then the AF bleeding starts and as it was that hormone that keeps your temp elevated, the temp then drops before the bleeding?

    Thanks ladies

Glamazon- nice to see you here still, how r u feeling hun? Has it sunk in properly yet?

Helen - I'm not too bad thanks, not sunk in although I keep finding myself holding my tummy! People keep asking me if I'm OK, tell them I've got af!

Me and my assistant share lunches and today she bought in a ready meal chicken curry (I do jacket potatoes, beans on toast etc) and I didn't want to eat it because of 'bean'. Have eaten it and said it's a bit too unhealthy for me! Feel sick as a dog now.

BTW, I'm been having those cramps for about a week - only really little minor ones (nothing that's made me concerned) so maybe you are pg! Going to see GP Monday to get referred to MW. See you all over on the other side soon..

I had it couple of times - my temp might keep a bit up for a couples of days when AF starts. I think it is something to do with progesterone (remember reading something about it). Also, my pre-OV temperatures might be at different levels at different months.

  • Hi all, it's lovely so many of you are nearing or are at the end of 2ww. I am due to ov tomorrow and so far bd once the night before last. We had a plan to bd every day but had a small argument last night in bed which then completely put me off and we just went to sleep. So going to try again tonight and for the next two nights and hopefully something might happen. Good luck to everyone and hopefully some BFP's very soon xxx

    Hi
Can anyone remember how long it took for their first af after coming off the pill and how heavy it was? I finished taking the pill at the start of Jan and my withdrawal af came on 9 Jan as expected but then yesterday I started getting some very light bleeding which has carried on today. Not sure if it is my first af or not. Seems very quick and also a bit too light but then looked at nhs site which said af usually returns after 2-4 weeks.

Hey Rose7 I had my af the day after coming off the pill and since then have had regular 28 day cycles, Hope this helps xxx

  • Just to let you all know that I bought a First Response this afternoon, and got another tiny little positive. The line is faint, but definitely there.

I will do the second one in the pack tomorrow first thing and hopefully that will give something more definitive. I am feeling much more hopeful though.

Have to say that I wouldn't use a Clear Blue digital again- I didn't realise how they worked when I bought it but wouldn't recommend.

Helen- I think that definitely still could be implantation bleeding- having googled it says it lasts 1-3 days.

Sorry you've had a BFN Scottish chick- I thought preg testing was so straight forward but it seems it's a minefield of what will register and when!

    Baby dust to all.

Oh GISI - I really hope it is BFP for you! Your concentration of HCG will be much more in the morning so test and let us know.

Will have my fingers and toes crossed for you!!!

It does sound like a BFP, really hope it's a good strong line for you in the morning. It's a lot of waiting around and being in limbo when TTC isn't it? :rotfl:

I've decided if I don't come today or tomorrow I am going to test Saturday morning. I want to test now but that'd be silly because I could come on at any time. I've got the Boots digital ones, hope they're okay.

I wasn't feeling too sick, just a bit but I was hungry so i've just had beans on toast and now I feel like i'm going to throw up. But I don't feel ill IYKWIM? I'm going to end up in a loony bin if I keep thinking about this, I need to do something to take my mind off it all :o

Hayley I've been the same today- go from ravenous to 'I think I might throw up', although it soon passes. Am ravenous now though!
