  • Right ladies- did another First Response this morning and it's a BFP. Still quite faint but it came up really quickly so I'm happy that it's all real!woohoo1.gif

Congrats to Bear Family and my fingers are still firmly crossed for you others. I definitely won't be leaving this thread just yet. I need to find out when you lot get your BFPs!

One question- what do I do now:confused: ? Do I make a doctors apt ASAP or leave it a couple of weeks? I am so clueless about pregnancy (and babies, but let's not think about that yet...)

    Hi GISI.

    Congratulations :j

I don't think there is much you do right now unless you have a history of mc's (sorry I forget, its early for me :D ) If you phone your GP this early on in pg (IIRC) they will make you an appointment to see midwife at 3 months.

Best wishes for the coming months.

Just to let those of you know who have hubby on Zinc supplements. Tesco have a pack of 180 tabs on half price this week. They are £1.95.

My hubby said he didn't need any yet but I told him for half price he is having some :rotfl:

CONGRATULATIONS GISI AND BF -:j :j :j although my cheapie poundland one said false results after 10mins so test again first thing in morning.

I would recommend contacting your surgery to find out what they advise regarding booking in with MW.

Shelly - you should have your dating scan at 12-14 weeks and this can take time from MW referral to getting an appointment through so you should be seeing MW as soon as possible not at 3 months. I manage a GP surgery and spoke to our MW here yesterday and she agreed that around 7-8 weeks is best as some hospitals can have a backlog - we had a patient who didn't book in until she was 10 weeks and didn't get ther dating scan until 16weeks!

In my own surgery where I am registered - I need to see a GP and be referred to the MW (massive rant on pregnancy thread so won't bore you here), because I know this will take time I am seeing GP on Monday when I will be 5 weeks + 4. It could be the following week before I see the MW when I will be 7 weeks, hospital will receive referral when I'm 8 weeks which means they have 4 weeks to get me an appointment.

Tesco also have Santanogen Pro-natal vitamins at £2.60 - 30p cheaper than Tesco own brand!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Ooh thanks for this. I've just posted this morning over on the 12 months + thread, as I got a BFP this morning, after 20 months of TTC this time round! I'm feeling the urge to shout from the rooftops, but in fact don't want to tell anyone IRL until after I can have an early scan to ensure baby is where it should be! All being well, I'm going to book in for a private 6 week one in a couple of weeks.

Well i am on the 2ww, so lets hope that i have some news too. I have a stinking cold at the moment, so am hoping this will slow down the symptom spotting! I am not sure i can cope with all the checking. I am hoping to be able to wait until i am late to test, but who knows;)

Very sticky baby dust to all :)
