I'd agree with the other ladies that maybe he wants to just do it when it pleases you both and not have to perform to order. That way you aren't trying as such, just having fun.

We have been TTC for 4 years now and sometimes my hubby tells me not to tell him when I am oving as it puts pressure on him that he HAS to do it on so-and-so days. Then if he can't perform it makes us both frustrated and cross.

Believe me when I say that if you allow it, it can take over your lives and can get to the point where sex isn't fun or even very loving anymore. You end up only doing it because/when its the right time in your cycle and if you don't do it you feel bad that you have missed the optimum time.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Well I thought that was how it might get, when we first started TTC, I did get a bit obsessed :o But i'm not at all now, i'm not doing my temps, not taking ov tests, the only way I know that I am probably ovulating is because of the pains I get. But I think I will keep them to myself from now on ;)

I think I am just going to stop worrying about it now as best I can, it's just a bit hard at the moment, my two best friends are pregnant and another friend is and I can't help feeling a bit like, it should be my turn but then we've been trying for less than 3 months so I think I am being a bit impatient

    Morning all,

Just need a quick rant, my nanny told me she was pg last night (approx 8 weeks gone already), as much as I'm really happy for her I can't help think why can't it be us - does that make me a bad person. I don't think it helped when she started saying how they weren't even ttc and it just happened.

My nanny also happens to be one of my best friends and we got married 8 weeks apart (both each others chief bridesmaids) and had our last baby's 7 weeks apart.

I know I'm being unreasonable but can't control feeling annoyed.

Oh well I'm 9dpo today so planning on test on Sunday if AF hasn't arrived and my temp still up so maybe this month will be the one for us.

    Morning ladies,

Hayley my OH wants a baby, but doesn't want to have to preform, so try and give your man some support and try (i know it is hard!) to stop thinking about it too much, 3 months is not too long, so try and enjoy bding for fun for a couple of months and see what happens.

I am sorry if this sounds patronising but if you read back over some of my previous entries you will see that i have moaned a lot on here about my man and his confusing attitude.

Right well today is almost def OV day, so i have hinted that we may want to bd tonight, I have not told OH that i am oving but suggested that i was keen this morning but he was too tired, so i said to see if he could cheer me up later ;)

    Oh well lets see

    Baby dust to all :)

  • Has anyone on here got any experience of high blood pressure? I've had high blood pressure since I was 18- not so high that I have to take medication but high enough that I'm not ever allowed to take the pill. Does anyone know whether there is a high chance that this will get worse with preg?

Yes i have always had high blood pressure and a very fast heart rate. My at rest heart rate is the same as someone doing a work out. I had to go on blood pressure tablets for a while and have lots of ECG's but the doc concluded that it is just how i am and as i am young i have to live with it and they will deal with it if and when they need to when i am older. My body sounds great doesn't what will everything else going on hey ho.

What i found was the minute i got pg with my ds my blood pressure came back down to a normal level i didn't do anything different and it was a great
pregnancy without any problems. So yours may come down too.
It went back to being high after the birth so docs believed being pg was good for me.
    This is my signature!
  • Sounds like everyone is having a bit of a bad time at the moment, big hugs to you all.

I still haven't had visit from AF yet, should have been Sunday, but just had some spotting – if that. I'm going to test tomorrow morning.

I did think this morning though, if my cycle isn't back to normal from stopping the pill how will I know where I am in my cycle for trying again. ie when would be the best time, or should we just be BDing every 2-3 days? I'll be knackered!

    Hi ladies :hello:

Bear Family - i've got my fingers crossed that you get a BFP :D

With regards to your cycle, have you tried doing your temps? You might be able to work out when you're ovulating? I used to have a 28 day cycle, regular as clockwork but obviously that was the pill because it's varying a bit now. I don't know if i'm due on tomorrow or Sunday or anyday in between :rotfl:

I woke up at 4am this morning and felt really really sick, I hate being sick and i'd been eating food yesterday that would not be nice coming back up (sorry TMI!!) so I just lay there hoping it would pass and it has worn off a bit but I still feel quite sick. I'm totally insane to even think it might be the start of morning sickness aren't I? I really annoy myself because i'm getting my hopes up and i'm going to be really disappointed if i'm not pg. :( And we only BD'd about 4 times in the last 3 weeks so the chances are quite slim anyway I think. Oh well! I kind of hope if I am going to get my AF, I get it tomorrow then it's out of the way and we can start again :) Plus i'm going away on Monday so I don't really want to be mithered with my AF

Sticky baby dust to everybody :D

Hi Elastigirl, I hope you are ok. My Hcg levels went up while I was having my mc but only by a small amount and that was before I had the heaviest bleeding, they weren't too worried about ectopic with me as they had seen the sac in my womb and it's very unlikely to have one in the womb and an ectopic one. I had to go back a week later to check everything had come out.

  • Thanks, Hayley11.

What should I be looking for with my temperature please? I've heard of doing this but not sure quite what to do.

    Sorry for being daft...

Thanks for that- fingers crossed mine will go down too! It's never caused me any problems but is just one of those things I guess!
