mwa, I think this could be implantation bleeding if you ovulated around Christmas day, I believe that implantation is usually around 8-10 days after ovulation. I could be wrong though.
Implantation bleeding should only be a small amount so yours sounds about right, however, I have no personal experience of this as I didn't get it with my DD either.
I have all my fingers, toes & other crossable appendages crossed for you!!!
I was due to ovulate around Christmas too. We BD'd four times in total in the end during my fertile period but I'm really worried that I haven't got pregnant this month as my period is due on the 7th & I don't 'feel' pregnant at all yet. With my DD I knew I was pregnant about a week before I even missed my period as my breasts doubled in size & were excrutiatingly painful. This is only our first month of trying, so I know I shouldn't complain but I would just love a September baby.

Hi MWA
I think implantation bleeding comes 6-10 days after conception but I don't have the best memory so best to check somewhere else. It should be light and can last a few days. Probably nothing to worry about but now you just have to wait to find out if you are pregnant.
Haven't been on here for a while as I'm back home with my mum for christmas and OH is down in London so no bding for a while. Been nice to have a bit of a break actually and just read my book instead!
Luck and baby dust to everyone waiting to testMum to DD born Oct 2009

Mwa- I am no expert but going by what Ive read in this thread,it does sound like an implantation bleed yes.
I came on on Christmas eve, bled for 2 days,as I usually do,stopped bleeding, and now today Ive got period pains again and red/browny discharge! Whats that all about?! Just my body clearing itself out ready for OV? I know Im not pregnant yet and it's abit early to be ovulating now isn't it?!
My OV/pg tests came in the post today,so Im going to start testing to see when I OV from tommorow.
Happy new year to you all, with extra baby dust xxxxxxxxxxxxlove my little man he is amazing :j0 -

That is exactly what we want, Sept/October baby. Going by the date of my LMP (24th Dec)..IF Im flukey enough to get pg this month (1st month trying) my due date would be 30th September. We may end up at the same stage at the same time. Good luck xxxxxlove my little man he is amazing :j0 -

It would be great if we both managed to get pregnant for Sept/Oct. If I have managed to get pregnant this month then my due date would be about a week after my birthday in September & if I got pregnant next month it would be a week after my OH's!
Good luck to you too, & lots of baby dust!

Thanks to all replies but sadly my AF came on just now, wasn't due on till 8/9 Jan so don't know what all that's about! Am upset as wanted another September baby, my DD is 9/9 and I conceived her on Xmas Eve, I know it sounds silly but I wanted to conceive on the same cycle as she is so perfect and I thought it might be a lucky cycle LOL
Here's to next month for all us TTCers  least we can have a drink tonight eh?

Sorry to here about AF turning up mwa. I suppose one way to look at it is that you won't have to afford two little ones birthdays in one month! They're expensive these things they call children lol.
I'm still not able to drink as we can't test until the 2nd at the earliest, it wasn't until after suggesting to my OH that we spent the evening in with a takeaway & a bottle of wine I remembered this wouldn't be so much fun for me :rotfl:
Ah well here's to looking forward to at least another 2 years (pregnancy & BF) of no alcohol hopefully starting in 2009

Can I ask a very silly question? Is it best to BD as much as possible in the fertile period? Or can doing it too many times make it less likely??
Also, how long is the fertile period usually? My cycle is 28 days or thereabouts.

I am completely on the edge of my seat now! I really hope it is definitely a BFP!
