I'm on day 20 of a 26 day cycle, i'm not holiding my breath though as I didn't get much action and i don't think we had the timing right but there is still a chance....but I would love to find out i was preg just before Christmas, that would be lovely....i can dream...for now!
How's everyone else doing?
Oh and do you guys get a proper second line on the OPK's? I did some this month and only got 2 days of very faint lines....any advice?0 -
Hi peeps,
Thought I'd pop in as I've not really been around for a few days - seems we have a few newbies, so hello to them!
I'm on cd6, and wondering if I can muster the energy to SMEP again this month. I have to admit it's hit me quite hard that it didn't work last month (plus af was worse this month than it has been in quite a while - I've felt absolutely exhausted for days).
Think we've decided to give it 'one last month' and then see the doc, as it's so close to Christmas.
Hope everyone is ok - any news from the rest of the SMEP team?

Most tests sa you should have a dark or darker line to get a positive on an OPK, to ensure the surge is in progress, but you should check the instructions for your tests to be sure... Aparently you can get 'false surges' where the LH level fluctuates before the actual surge - you need to make sure you're testing for long enough, so you don't miss the real surge.
You may not have caught your surge, depending on when you tested. It is recommended to test at 2pm, after 4hrs of not drinking anything. I've found I get a proper positive line at 1pm (I have my last drink at 8:30am and then one straight after I've tested).
Hope that helps.

Hi everyone, I have just been catching up on the thread as we went to London for a long weekend so I havent been on here.
Well I am due to ovulate on around Saturday according to my monthly cycles.com so I think I am going to try and persuade DH to start BDing from today onwards, hopefully every other day. We are out on Fri and Sat night this week, typical!! Will have to try and BD in the mornings insteadMind you, my cycle is prob not regular yet so I have also been checking my cervix and also CM and not noticed any major changes yet so will take that into account too.
Put our xmas decs up last nite which is making it all xmassy in here, yey!!
Hope everyone is well xxxBaby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -
Can anyone see the second line?...
I dismantled the test to see if it is really there... I am sure I can see it, and I actually managed to convince my OH that it is there, and it is pinkish... I did i in he evening after the shopping in Tesco. Will do another one tomorrow morning unless AF arrives and decides that it was enough dreaming for me!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I am just afraid it is not real... I am afraid to go to sleep in case I wake up and AF is there!!!!!! It also could be just evaporation line, couldn't it?
(Just had to go to check again if there is still a line - yes it is, very faint pinkish line.... It is hard to photograph the test and it looks even paler on the photo...)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Will do in the morning - I bough a pack of 2 Tesco tests. I still have a clearblue digital hidden in the drawer for when I am more certain it could be true... Thanks everyone and good night! Need to try and sleep!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
