  • Hello,

Can I just say that there seems to be alot of people with their claws and wooden spoons out... The OP was just seeking some support from people who would have the experiences to understand what she is going through. It must be a very hard time for her, and every family is different. While everyone is entitled to their own opinions I believe there is a request from Martin to be nice to each other. After all, this is a sight for money savers so you must all have at least one thing in common.
I hope the OP had a good time with her son while he was home and he is enjoying his training. Maybe finding a hobby for the little sister... Ice skating or trampolining or even cadets or something would help to take her mind off things and make it easier for her. And maybe hold off on phoning up anyone unless he is actually feeling unhappy - if this is the case encourage him to speak up about it himself in the first instance. My OH's mum did this to him when he was away on his first ship - she called his captain to tell the captain off for not giving him time to phone his mummy... my OH got a b*ll*cking from the captain and public immediate orders to call his mummy!!!
Hope it's all going well for you anyway.
    Bump due 22nd September

No less relevant to the OP as I'm sure you will agree.

I believe her son passes out in January and I hope she enjoys her trip down to see her son.
