likewise I have being posting all week for Martins help but no reaction or response - having stood up for Martins defence now I feel let down -he is the man with contacts and pr but sadly nothing
IMHO it's well worth joining this forum http://icescam.com/index.php which is dedicated to helping and discussing people who have savings with Icesave.0 -
I have just had a post CENSORED by the moderators on here-
It was a perfectly composed post criticising MR L***s deafening silence!
If this post is not reinstated I will be cancelling my subscription to this website and advising everyone I know to do the same!

I agree with you Dan, whilst we all supported martin in the blame posts -now when we need him there is aboslute nothing -no response or anything -what have we done to deserve this treatment .
Martin is quick enough to come out and act on other causes such as bank charges etc but now he seems not to want to know ICESAVERS .
Martin has saved me and my business £s over the last 4 years -come on Martin let us hear from you and your support and help for us-thank you.0 -

It wouldn't half help if Martin emerged from his bunker.
Think how many would join the campaign if it had an effective leader.

Could be worse - just heard that a colleague of mine managed to transfer her money out of Icesave just before they closed. However, she since realised that the First Direct account which should have been CREDITED by Icesave was DEBITED by that amount! So, no money from Icesave and the same amount stolen from First Direct.
She has a print-out of the screen confirming she transferred money out of Icesave and closed the account. She's yet to phone First Direct and see what they can do as she was away on holiday last week and got a text message First Direct balance showing the account was overdrawn.0 -

yes where is Martin --I think it is quite unpolite :money: of Martin not to answer all the posts asking for his help and leadship -I am very disapointed0 -

TBH I think there are quite a few disappointed people who had hoped to find a little support here.

I had a look at the best buy tables at the Daily Mail's "ThisisMoney" site and narrowed the choice down to Newcastle BS, Principality BS, First Direct. I spoke to the customer helpdesk at each, explained my predicament vis-a-vis my ISA in Icesave, and decided in the light of how efficient and courteous they seemed to be. I plumped for Principality Building Society, which is offering 6.00% for an instant access e-ISA. Their online application process is very easy and an account was opened instantly with zero balance, theoretically awaiting transfer of funds from Icesave. I then completed their ISA "transfer form" - which one downloads - with details of my ISA account at Icesave, and posted it off today. This means that Principality will send the request for funds to Icesave, and whether or not Icesave eventually get round to responding to Principality or to me directly, or if I get the money from FSCS, I do not care as hopefully this covers all eventualities. I've never dealt with this building society before but from my experience thus far I'm very happy.
I tried to to the same thing and sent off an ISA transfer form to RBS. Got a very curt letter back yesterday, returning my form and saying that my ISA couldn't be located. They also got both my name and address incorrect. After that unhelpful response, it seems they don't want my money - perhaps I should look at the Principality too...“Money is not the most important thing in the world. Love is. Fortunately, I love money.”0
