  • Well tonight I'm going to list some stuff on eBay tonight because Sunday is PRIME TIME selling day for pottery, porcelain and glass (in case anyone didn't know) so I'll be sat here at 8pm listing like a mad thing. I've still got loads of stuff I've been putting off listing because eBay listing is such a chore to me!

In true panda style I've made a spreadsheet! Just putting the date, title, price and quantity on it, so it's easier to keep track of everything that's being listed. Can't believe I've never done it before. I thought about a coloured boxes chart (one box for every ten listings) but perhaps that's taking it a bit too far!

I just sold something as well! Not one of last night's listings but a swimsuit that's been in my shop since the year dot. £11. Just got the baby to sleep so I'm going to crack on with my 10 for today. We're going away for a few days tomorrow so I'm a bit disappointed I'll fall behind - I like Petrafyde's idea of adding the 720 to the sig though - I think I'll try that.
  • Hi!

Please can I join? I'm going to have to be a wimp and aim for 1 item a day but really need to have a good clear out and start selling some of my clutter. Aiming to buy my first home in the next 12-18 months so all money earned will be going towards the deposit.

    Thanks

    Hiya,
Re the queueing at Post Office thing with loads of parcels - I hate doing that too, but now I use royailmail.com and you can buy your postage there. I have some cheap digital scales so know exactly how much a parcel weighs. You tell it if it's a large letter or parcel and it prints the label. So with smallish parcels they go straight in post box then, or with big ones I pay for it and just drop it in PO. You can also do it on Paypal, but it doesn't have the option of 2nd class which I usually use.
My local PO are very good and suggested if I have loads I can drop them off and go back later to pay.
Hope that helps...I find it great for books, cds etc that I can then throw in postbox without a trip to PO!
I really need to sort out a new signature!

I think I'm going mad and it's all your fault! ;)

I've just taken 126 photo's of my husbands old 45's... all of which I'm going to list today and thats BEFORE I do my Wedgwood tonight. What's the betting I don't get even half of them on before dying of RSI/boredom (whichever comes first!)

  • I've started ebaying again but with working mon - friday I put the items on at weekends for a week and have them ending at the weekend so I can see whats sold before I put more items on and get postal addresses when I've sold something.
If your selling similar items when you've completed one for sale item, select 'sell similar' and most of the details are already on for you, ie. category, etc. saves some time. I'm hoping to put seasonal stuff on soon now it's coming up to Halloween, and then of course christmas. gl. mse's.

I have just listed 7 items on ebay so I have made my target for this week already! This is because my husband has suddenly become enthusiastic about selling stuff, and taken loads of photos. We made a big list of things to sell - once we started we couldn't stop. Would have listed more but it takes me so long! Some of the big things such as an old snowboard we will take to car boot to get rid of.

thanks for this message pandapaws, i am going to follow suit (altho im wondering if it will make me feel a bit like monica from friends..?) :p please can i join this challenge, say 5 a day, iv listed 14 items on ebid 2nite, its better than feebay as there are much lower fees, you dont get charged if you dont sell, and reading the forums on ebid is very encouraging. good luck everyone
