I can't find anything to list! I've got a pile of stuff I'm estimating in the region of 2000 items in the cupboard, but need DH to move things around before I can access that... and I can't find anything to do in the meantime.
That never happens!0 -
Hi PP,
I made the mistake two years ago (!!) of getting the things out of the cupboards, loft, under the bed and putting them in one room which I dare not go into because it is full to the brim. Unfortunately in that time more things have been added outside the door.
Luckily as I live in a three storey I do not vernture up there but now I am going to face my demons and clear them out once and for all.
Come back and join when you have access to the cupboard!

Nyeh. Found the thread. Suppose I'd better sign up due to lack of an excuse not to. I'm going to go for the 10-a-day but not sure how! Thanks for the challenge Floxxie (I think - I'll probably be cursing you 10 times a day now forever more!). I disagree with your first post: you are NOT the least motivated person re Ebay, I am! And how do you find the time to get a hangover?!
Is this after you have found access to the cupboard or have you several rooms full of kids toys and clothes that you are going to sell?!
Ok we'll agree that we are the least motivated people to sell on eBay hence the reason why we have several thousand items between us that still need to be sold. Wish I could find somebody to sell my stuff but last time somebody suggested I decided I could do it better than them...and they were going to take an enormous amount of any profit. Decided I would much rather have no space to live in.
And PP I don't have the time for hangovers...they follow me around - all it takes is a couple of glasses of wine and very little sleep and I seem to have a permanent one!
Have to cook As food, go to kiddies party and then back for ....Amazon and GreenMet listing as I can do that whilst watching TV.
Will add on new comers later. Welcome everybody. And if you are already failing the challenge don't panic, there's plenty of time left!

Well, I have listed my five things for yesterday....currently at work, but going to list more tonight.
I find that when I'm sort of time, it's quicker to list on amazon, and then save the ebay listings for when I have more time.
Keep up the hard work guys.......I can't wait to be clutter free!!!

Afternoon everyone. I would love to join your challenge. Not sure I have enough stuff for 10 items a day so will aim for £5 a day.
Need some extra pennies to get rid of these blasted debts so this is a brill challenge for me and also means I get lots more space in my house. Its a win win.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

I really need to do this, I have so much 'stuff' in this house that I can hardly move
I'll aim for 5 a day though as I'm not sure there are 720 items here, but I reckon there's more than half that.
It's also a time thing as most of my things are clothes so I have to maybe wash some and they will certainly need ironing so they look great in the pics!
I'll start on Monday and will list a few extra to catch up - works for me
Good luck everyone, here's to shifting the clutter and making some cashI won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

The picture of what we're aiming for - well, *being* df would be nice! What I'm actually doing at the moment is putting everything I get thats extra into a separate account - when its up to £500, I'll pay another lump off the mortgage, since my loan is a weird one which I actually reclaim tax on. If things get really bad tho, I'll take back my mortgage overpayments and repay the loan all in one, since its a lot going out every month, and that would help more with the cashflow immediately. Hope that makes sense ....
It certainly does - let us know when you have hit £500 - it will keep us motivated!

I will! I'm in the "pay off your mortgage in 3 years" challenge as well - and the £10 a day, its good. I find I can't do more than one challenge at a time, if its financial - I couldn't the £10 a day and the Olympic, for instance - but this is great because its about listing, and while I'm not actually drowning in stuff any more (3 bed house for one person here!!!) I certainly do feel very cramped. And I want to rent this place out and go roaming, and I can't do that if there's amazon stuff all over the place! Not done today's yet, mind.... we'll see if I do it this evening, but might just do a double dose tomorrow, still got a mystery shop report to write and my mum to phone.
Have a good evening all.xx2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Karmacat - good luck with the paying off your mortgage in 3 years challenge, I often read that thread. It's amazing what people can do when they really crack on. Can't wait for these nasty debts to be gone and start paying off some of ours.
My ebay mission will start tonight once my little girl in bed. Just working it out and it's 105 items to be listed by the end of the month :eek:Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

evening floxxie
....great idea about listing 10 items/day..it might be an idea though, to list 10 items /day on to turbo lister, and store them on there until ebay have a half price listing fee day, they tend to have these at least once a month, just an idea to save 50% of your listing fees.....normally if they have a half price listing day, its on a thursday, so its best to put all your stuff on late thursday afternoon to early evening, then list for 10 days, that way, you will get almost 2 full weekends out of it, the best times when people have more time to look on ebay..............dont forget, all those magazines you bought over the yrs, some of them may sell...most things sell......and if you are planning to put them on for a £1 each, its best to put them on for 99p, it just saves that little more on listing fees......gawd blimey, im rabbiting on a bit aint i, but i am only trying to point out how to save just that little bit in fees..........take care yeah, av a giggle...........good luck to you all..........;)
