eBay/ebid 10 a day challenge - any joiners?

  • Ok, I'm definitely back on track now, having listed 59 new items this week and transferred 8 over from eBid to eBay.
While the 5p offer is on, 5 a day is going to be my bare minumum really, and am aiming for as many as I can physically do before I get the eBay resistance symptoms, where I just stare at Turbo Lister, unable to list any more (I got that last night). Got bids on only 7 items currently but am not toooo worried as with clothes I tend to get more bids in the last few days, so am crossing my fingers, carrying on listing and getting my packaging supplies ready

TMD - hope you're feeling better now? Will you be in hospital long with your op? At least with BIN it's easier to sort your account x

  • Cheers cazzab.
I am unemployed at the moment though, so I really have no excuse for not doing the eBaying. Must admit, the monotony is driving me slightly crazy though.

    Thanks

Op will be keyhole surgery so in one day out the next, that is unless there is problems getting the gall bladder out and they have to cut me open, they won't know until they do the op. It's really getting me down now, I've only had toast today as I'm too scared to eat anything else.

Will take a painkiller before I go to bed just in case, it's so worrying.

Hope everyone gets lots listed with the 5p offer, I'm so gutted I can't list more on that account but it's just not worth the worry if I'm not well.

I did it! I made the overpayment yesterday! I am including stuff thats on its way to my account, rather than having it arrive, but thats because if I do the overpayment by the end of the calendar month, my mortgage payment in November will take account of it. There's only two Amazon sales in that total - most of it is mystery shopping, matched betting and the cashback from a couple of big ticket items, but still, the Amazon stuff helped. Thanks for the motivation, Floxxie!

Well done Karmacat, that's great news. Hope the Amazon sales can make a greater impact this month!

Evening all, just popping in to see how everybody is keeping.

GeologyRocks - well done for all the listing and I hope you get plenty of sales.
tmd- sorry you're not feeling great. Hope the op improves your life 100%.
cazzab - what a bu**er about your awkward payers. If you have this again suggest a direct bank transfer, then it doesn't matter if they have no money in their Paypal account and you get the money. Forget them and move on.

Sorry if I have missed anybody out - pop in and let us know how you are doing (even if it is not well).

I have put on another 33 items this weekend and there's lots of watchers and 4 items have bids on them - very excited but not so excited about the fact that I still have the eBay room to attack and the garage..oh and the loft :( This might have to be a five year challenge :rotfl:

This week I am planning to start listing my OH's crap which should hopefully bring in some money. They include toy cars, trading cards, Lego, Action Men - all vintage of course.

By the way does anybody know about Burberry coat sizes - there's soem figures on an inside pocket but they don't make any sense to me to determine what size the coat is. Does anybody know the secret of deciphering it?

  • Hi

Just wanted to ask you all what you would do in my situation.

Hospital rang this morning with a cancellation for Saturday so am having my operation then. I have the 5p offer so do I not list anything and miss out on it or do I get lots on Turbolister this week and list them auction for 10 days starting on Friday evening so they finish 10 days after my op when I 'should' hopefully be a lot better.

My Business account is OK as they are all BIN and I can put my holiday settings on so no one will be able to see any of the listings.

Will have to have a think and see what I feel is the best option re listings as I still need money and don't have any other income except CTC and Child Benefit which won't touch my minimum payments.

Thanks for any advice, I'm not thinking too clearly at the moment.

tmd, if you have the energy list them to start on Friday - perhaps you can put a note on saying that you are unable to answer any questions until x date?

    Great news about cancellation!
