The majority of my profit will go towards Christmas and everything else will go in my house deposit savings pot.Operation House Move £11993.60/£25000 (47% achieved)

I was a bit annoyed that I've now got Poor for policy practices as it wasn't my fault the item got pulled, I just listed something as Mothercare that was Mothercare and Mothercare is in the list.
Well you learn something new everyday! Where is the list of words that cannot be used?Does your policy violation remain forever?
Yes with a shop you can do GTC (Good Til Cancelled) it will relist stuff after 30 days, just that as I have to do Tax Returns each year it would be confusing trying to work out how much of the Ebay fees were personal and how much were business.
Agree it is best to keep things as simple as possible!
Do you get your bubble wrap and brown paper from poundland, I bought some brown paper from there, they also do small bubble wraps. I need to go there and get some of the padded envelopes, I also buy the padded envelopes from Wilkinson.
No I don't. I go to a local packaging company and buy a large roll of bubblewrap, a roll of brown paper, polystyrene filler and various bubble envelopes. I also purchase brown boxes of various sizes if I am selling toy cars for example -they cost pennies. If I pay by cash, it is very cheap and lasts me a long time. Found mine in the yellow pages and phoned them up.
To the person who was asking about childrens toys - yes I have found them to sell well (if priced correctly) although they are the baby ones that I tend to sell. Have tried action figures but they are hit and miss. I used old shoe boxes, wipe boxes, anything I can get my hands on to send the items.

I'm paying off the Eurodisney holiday that I booked in the hope of completing this challenge successfully!

Welcome minimee and GeologyRocks!
minimee - try Amazon or https://www.greenmetropolis.com for selling books.
For selling awkward shaped items, I bought some polystyrene shapes (from a packaging company) and put the item in any old box (shoes, wipes, nappy boxes) and fill up with the shapes. They are very light so don't add to the postage too much.
GeologyRocks - yes now you have put your target on a public forum you have to do it! Actually it was the reason why I set the challenge up in the first place; I'm very good at having the idea of selling my tat but actually doing it doesn't normally happen...until now (hopefully)
Have added you both to the first page.

My ebay profits will be going on Christmas presents as well.
However I've had a problem with one of mine. The guy is having problem with hard drive I sold (it was new, never been used) and I'm thinking he may want a refund, but I don't know whether it's a problem that can be sorted. I'm ok with computers, but not the best. If anyone's good with computers will you be able to help!0 -
My ebay earnings are going to pay credit card debts, a few Xmas presents (have bought all the kids ones already) only got adults ones to buy and general everyday things, nappies, wipes, bread, milk, dinners etc.
A few years ago I bought Xmas photocards from Woolworths and inserted a picture I took of the kids in Xmas outfits and just slotted the picture in and wrote the cards out, I have quite a few left so will be doing that this year so I don't have to buy any Xmas cards. I have lots of paper left over from last year and tags, bought the kids stockings just got to get stuff to fill them.
Last year I spent a lot on tat for their stockings so will just buy a couple of nicer things this year, they had big sacks last year but I'm sure they will be happy with smaller ones.
I haven't listed any Ebay items tonight but will be listing loads tomorrow and the weekend to make up for it.
Sold two children's coats today.
Wanted to ask, I have a coat listed with a BIN price of £22.99 with Best Offers accepted. Someone has put an offer of £18.00 but they only have 3 feedback and none for the last month or so - would you accept it (as money is money afterall) or would you wait and see if anyone else put an offer in?Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Have you put your query up on the eBay board i.e. was it new in packaging and is the guy trying it on? Alternatively if you post on the techie board, there's quite a few experts that hang around there!
Note that the buyer has to return it in the condition it was sent in so s/he can't go fiddling with it. The eBay board lot will be assist further.

Are you happy with £18? If so, go for it. I've sold to people who seem to buy one item a year!!
Well done on your sales :T

Oops - no listings for me today (or for a few days actually), but I have bought a dress (a bargain!), which I'm not sure when I'll where it but its nice! Feel like I'm falling off the ebay wagon...it could be because listing is so boring that I start browsing...fatal. Well done everyone else though!!!Mammy to 3 gorgeous children.0
