    Thanks

I now have 325 :T first two listed for today i can go to bed now :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: most of the 323 items are things that i've had for years and i just keep in my unsold list until they offer half price listings and they get relisted then so when they said it was free listing everything went on at 99p i've got 13 items selling at the moment so its a start.

That is a really good idea as I missed most of the last cheap listing. Just trying to see when the next one was last year (think eBay are following a similar pattern this year). Looks like it was 29 Nov so when I have some spare time :rotfl:will get the 99p listings ready for uploading.

  • Well done Buddiebabe, I thought I had a lot (109). I have about 20 magazines listed, only one watcher on one of them so am not expecting to sell any but it was worth a try as it was free to list them. I listed 3 yesterday evening, couldn't manage any more I was so tired.

I got marked down to 'Poor' for Listings policies or whatever the category is because I listed something as New from Mothercare and they don't seem to like you doing that so because the listing got pulled I got a Poor for it, I tried searching a couple of the things I had listed and it wasn't too bad, my listings were still there.

I'm wondering if I should just list my second hand stuff with my Business stuff as I have a Shop in my Business account and as I'm due to have an operation sometimes soon (hopefully), I can do them for 30 days BIN and then can put my holiday settings on if I get an early date for my op, plus it is only 20p to list in my Business account BIN rather than 40p in my Private.

Hi tmd, I haven't heard of them removing a listing as saying NEW on it if it is. I know they'll remove listings that say AS NEW as it is a spamming word i.e. search for NEW and you get AS NEW as well. Must look into that because I do that all the time (if it's new that is!)
The policy aspect - you can have so many policy violations before you are suspended from eBay - it might be 3? but as you say your listing search is not affected.

If it is cheaper to list on the business account it makes sense. Is there an option for list until sold - thought Pandapaws had mentioned something about this on her other thread?

Anyway my magazines have watchers but no bidders yet. Have sold some items for pennies - trying to not to think how little there will be in the pot once fees and postage costs taken out..just focusing on the space that has been cleared!

Downside is that I have to go and get some more bubblewrap and brown paper...

Must get a move on and do my listings for the day.

  • Hi Floxxie

I was a bit annoyed that I've now got Poor for policy practices as it wasn't my fault the item got pulled, I just listed something as Mothercare that was Mothercare and Mothercare is in the list.

Yes with a shop you can do GTC (Good Til Cancelled) it will relist stuff after 30 days, just that as I have to do Tax Returns each year it would be confusing trying to work out how much of the Ebay fees were personal and how much were business.

Do you get your bubble wrap and brown paper from poundland, I bought some brown paper from there, they also do small bubble wraps. I need to go there and get some of the padded envelopes, I also buy the padded envelopes from Wilkinson.

  • I hope there's a free day again soon, before xmas at least.. or even a 5p day, as 20 listings for £1 isn't too bad!

I can't believe something I thought was total rubbish, has 11 watchers. It ends on Friday so hopefully it will go for a bit more than the 99p I was hoping for. Seems the more obscure the item is, the more bids it gets o_0 I also listed 8 magazines on the free day and a couple have watchers. I guess nothing's lost if they don't sell as I usually just recycle them anyway.
  • I am totally confused (doesn't take much!) about the new ratings on ebay, I hadn't even noticed them, how do i check my score?
  • Hello, can I join?
Iv recently started putting stuff on eBay again, but dont seem to be left with much after eBay and PayPal fee's.
I will start putting things on eBay again later today I think (busy day today).
Do childrens toys tend to sell well on eBay? And theyre so akward to pack! Any ideas? I dont likem buying boxes and padding to send stuff in as it comes off your profits really.
Where would be the best place for books? Iv got hundreds!!
It would be more ideal for me to do a carboot, but with a baby and three yr old, its not really possible.
    :T YEY for making money!!!:T

    Hey
I've managed to list another 8 items today.... DVD's that don't take much time to do. Im off work sick today so thought i'd better try and do something other than lying on the couch feeling sorry for myself! Am going to try and sort out some more stuff. I had a few costumes that would have sold well for halloween but i've left it a bit late to list them  maybe i'll put them on for a 3 day listing and see if they go

  • Great idea, can I join?
I have been telling myself I'm going to do 5 a day for ages but it's just not happening. Maybe if I delare I'm going to do it on a public forum it'll help ;)

I'm mostly trying to get rid of clothes so am listing on eBay. Anything that doesn't sell or is out of season goes on eBid. Will also be listing the odd CD on Amazon.
  • I can't believe how well everyone is doing. I didn't manage to get anything listed last night but the magazines I listed have all got bids on now :T.

Will try and get a couple of things listed after I finish work but i'm a bit reluctant to list too much at the moment because I'm going away on hols in 10 days and I don't want to overwhelm my mum with too many ebay parcels to post!!!
