Oh, I see. Do you have any idea what rating causes your items not to appear on the search? :S I have 4.6/5 for p&p... Hmmm, t'is a worry if I'm paying to list stuff and people can't even see it when they search!
ETA: I've just been over to the Ebay board and read some more about the new ebay system. It's pantsI have over 3000 feedback yet my listings are appearing lower down the 'best matches' list that someone who has hardly any feedback. Grrrr ebay just gets worse and worse!

You need to find your dashboard (mine is at the bottom of listings etc.) although you might find a tab to the left (under your account). It says that 4.4 is the limit before your listings are lowered - when you do find your dashboard it will tell you if you are on a lowered search.

Edit: oops just read your final part of your message! Yes it is pants which is why I want all my stuff gone so I don't have to go near eBay again (as a seller anyway). The benefits of selling lots though is that you can quickly get your standard search back (hopefully and if people leave DSRs) whereas if you are only doing a few then you could stay there forever!!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Please can i join this challenge??? I love ebay and have 323 items listed at the moment (most of them were items i re-listed during the free weekend) I've not really put anything new on for a while but with ebay saying you need to offer free postage on DVD's am going to have to start listing them now!!!
I work full time and part time so don't really have much time to list things so i don't think id manage 10 a day so could you put me down for 2 a day???
Gonna try and list 2 before i go to bed

Hmmm, I've just checked my seller dashboard and my listings are apparentely still appearing in the standard placement... but they are definitely lower down than others :S I seem to be selling things very quickly regardless of this, so obviously people are somehow still finding my listings.
I have 4.9/4.7/4.5/4.6 overall so hope that they don't slip any further. My 30-day average is a lot higher that my 12-month one as I have been selling a lot, so I hope it's the 30-day average that they use to determine how your listings are ranked!
I've also been reading about the new policy where you have to offer free postage on dvds... how random and pointless is that?!0 -
If you're selling a boxset though you can go through a loophole. There will be an option saying 'unusually heavy/bulky item' or something like that where you can chrage for postage. This goes the same for items where the postage limit will not cover the postage costs.
I'm going to sell a couple of dvds in a few days. I'll sell them now before I have to offer free postage.0 -

Thanks
I now have 325 :T first two listed for today i can go to bed now :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: most of the 323 items are things that i've had for years and i just keep in my unsold list until they offer half price listings and they get relisted then so when they said it was free listing everything went on at 99p i've got 13 items selling at the moment so its a start.
Can't wait to get my house cleared... i've got enough stuff that would easily keep me going for a year or so... boxes of stuff i keep intending to ebay but if i can list 2 things a day from now until xmas i hope it'll make a dent in the stuff lying about cluttering up my house!
Nite

^Ahh ok, I guess that's something. I still don't get why it's just dvds they're doing this to? Why not Wii/xbox/etc games? CDs? Seems a bit daft...
Wow buddiebabe, 325 items?! I thought I was doing well with just over 30. You must have a lot of clutter :P0 -
325:shocked:
:T welldone you0 -
Hmm, I've got a load of Friends DVDs I want to sell but looking at the completed listing it doesn't seem worth it. If I had them all (I'm only one or two DVDs short) then I could sell them altogether. I'll also have to check that they're not scratched as well.
I wish I'd listed more on the free listing day nowOh well I'll wait to sell them the next time there's another one, whenever that'll be!
