I have sold 4 items, cant complain, made a profit,
but have relisted some, have about 45 still there, loads of them being watched, but no new bids yet.

Still have about 20 more things that i need to list.

my profits are already allocated to buy material on ebay, for xmas pressies
  • I accepted the BIN offer on the coat I had for sale, not sure if the person has paid yet as I haven't checked.

Going to sort out loads of stuff now the kids are away until Wed and will work my way through it.

Still haven't found my books, no bids on my Mum's magazines but it was free to list them so nothing lost.

Hi tmd, can you set up the Paypal payment to 'be paid immediately'? I managed to get this on some listings but not on others - obviously changed something but haven't found out what yet! (obviously no good for this sale though)

    Fingers crossed for you.

    Morning all!

Had 10 sales finish last night but a little disappointed as they didn't all sell and they were for low amounts. Just trying to work out if I should be listing items in Turbolister but not adding on Friday or Saturday but doing 30 on Sunday (does that make sense?)

How have others found the weekend as an ending time?

  • Monday, Friday and Sunday are usually the best days for me (had a couple of things end last night and both were bid up to decent amounts for once!) I guess it will depend on what you're selling though :S I avoid Saturdays like the plague.
  • I've got a bid on one of my Mum's magazines. I like to end auctions on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs, I find I don't sell anything on Friday, Sat or Sunday. Got lots finishing tonight out of the free listing weekend and only have one bid on about 20 items.

  • I've been really surprised how popular my magazines seem. Ok they aren't selling for a lot of money but if I hadn't come across this thread I would have probably just recycled them and got nothing for them.

Interesting the mixed response to the days when the sales are better. I've done well on Wednesdays and Thursdays so far but maybe that will change as the type of items do.

larlie1983, finding out that tat sells has been my downfall. I now collect everything that people don't want thinking 'that will sell on eBay' and I'm sure it will when I get around to listing it!!

I haven't kept a separate profit eBay list as this challenge wasn't about financial targets as such but I need another £700 to pay for my holiday and the eBay challenge has helped a great deal. I still have so much more to sell though..I still haven't ventured to the third floor (where the eBay room is) so that just shows you how much stuff I have hiding under beds, in cupboards, lying about, just waiting to be sold - it really is depressing.

Hope everybody esle is ok. Well done to those who are selling and clearing a space (and bringing in some money). For those who are falling behind we are in November in a week's time - perhaps an opportunity to start over?

I'm planning on listing the remaining magazines (yep I have that many), books and clothes (baby and adult) next week. Anybody wanting to join?

    Hi all!

I've been deliberately absent from this thread for quite a few days, because I've been doing diddly-squat. I'm several hundred items behind target but hoping I can still save the situation (although that might require the help of a passing low-flying pig).

I am trying but got so much else going on that I'm struggling to list anything at all, never mind 10-a-day! Not giving up though.

I have sold a few bits & bobs, £20 for a jacket today and a few bras here and there. Took delight in describing an Agent Provocateur thong to the elderly man in the PO today when he asked me what was in a parcel because it was so light! Naughty panda.

Sounds like you're all doing fab. Keep going!
