I only use auctions rather than buy it now as well. It give bidders the opportunity to bid again if someone outbids them, but if you have buy it now as well someone could just click that and you may get less for it than you could have. Plus the fees are quite a lot I think.

My listing day is usually a Thursday or Sunday, with all of them ending on Sunday evening (a little from this site). I have 2 items currently ending this evening. I'm about to list some dvds.
  • credit_crunch - I only use 'buy it now or best offer' unless it's cheap listing day, in which case I auction the complete tat which I would have otherwise binned or sent to the charity shop, just because it's free to list :P I discovered the joys of Turbolister last weekend and have been using it ever since. Only took me 4 years to actually download and start using it, haha.

My listings are ending soon. They are doing pretty well - can't believe some stuff I was gonna chuck out has been bid above and beyond £4! I have the Firefox Ebay Companion on my pc so whenever I get a new bid, a little box pops up on my screen ;) I know, I'm incredibly sad!

I hate coming up to the end of the auctions. Mine finish in about 3 hours, and I hate the price at the mo. I'm sure it will go up last minute, but I hate not knowing that it might not! I usually like being surprised at the end result, like last week when my hard drive I sold. I forgot it finished and was pleasantly surprised at the price it sold at. I would hate that Ebay companion lol. I'd be like 'why is no one bidding' every 5 minutes lol.

Hi, can I join this challenge please. I'm rubbish at listing on ebay but have a box of stuff that MUST go by Xmas so I can reclaim a small part of my small dining room! I'm pretty good at using Playtrade and Amazon though so will count those too. Will aim for 1 a day/7 per week. Thanks.

Will now go back and read thread from start!

Welcome Miss Bez and credit-crunch to our challenge!

And welcome back those who have had some time off - ahem, cough, cough!

Although I have to confess that I have done nothing today except sleep..little one keeps waking up in the night and then he wakes up the other two. I just hope that he isn't going to make a habit of it as I get nothing done at all.

Anyway, new week tomorrow so will start again with a bit more energy (hopefully).

    Hope everything goes well tmd.

    Well done everybody else.

  • Well well, the last of my auctions just ended. Out of the 28 items I listed on free listing day, 17 sold. I think that's pretty good going as it was all just clutter rather than stuff that was of value to me. I am waiting on 9 people to pay up then I'm going to work out how much I've made :D

I also have something on 'buy it now' for £14... someone had offered £11 but I'm not sure if I want to accept... but I'd rather have £11 for it than nothing iyswim :o
