Of course you can Gem - have added your name to the first page - how many are you going to try and list per day?

Well I took the easy way out last night and listed 28 books on greenmetropolis. But I'm all out of books now so will have to do 10 on ebay tonight! Sold a little be-ro cookbook on ebay yesterday on BIN, only went up on Sunday night.£1.60 but it all helps.

  • I listed 10 items yesterday, waiting in Auctiva until this evening when I'll post them to ebay.
I'm going to list another 10 today so that should be 20 live auctions by this evening :T

Once I get going I'm ok but I do seem to struggle to list things. I've got my own 'shed' now, so I can shut myself away in there and concentrate on it without distraction. I've set up the scales and places to photograph things that the kids won't mess up!

    Good luck everyone :D
I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

    Hi

If its not too late I would like to join you. Dont think I could manage 10 a day.........maybe 5? Not that I dont have a whole ton of [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] valuable antiques to list, just that unless I set myself a realistic target I know I will get bored!

Ok now for some questions...........have never listed on ebay before, just purchased. How do I work out what to add for postage? Also what happens if something doesnt sell? Do I still get charged for listing it? Also is it best to list fictional books on Amazon or somewhere? Sorry for all the questions!

    Thanks
    Linz xoxox
Its hard to wait around for that something you know may never happen, but its harder to give up when you know its everything you ever wanted.........

People tell me Im going the wrong way..............when its simply a way of my own!

:j I'm up to date with my listings at 5 a day! (Amazon). 20 books listed since Saturday, thank you Floxxie! Some very odd pricing anomalies - huge hardback reference book, I'll make 80p if I'm lucky, but an old SF novel even *I* have never bothered to read will go for more than a fiver. Part of that is the postage thing, but not all of it. Very odd. And some travel books, that you'd pay say a fiver for at most in a second hand bookshop, are on for more than £20.

LoopyLinz - I've only listed on Amazon so far, and I'm continuing that at the mo for this challenge, I'm not convinced about paying upfront for ebay fees, especially now they've gone up. Someone on here advised me always to put my book on at the lowest price - not below, so as not to start a bidding war - but I also take care that I cover the postage, which doesn't happen if a book is an awkward shape, let alone weight, so I always check at the Royal Mail site. Hope this helps.
