  • Hi darlings!

Had to pop back to catch up with you all. I went back to bed about 1000 this morning and slept for a couple of hours til my OH got back from his day job. We had lunch together and now he has crashed out cos he has another DJ gig tonight as usual.
    :bdaycake: Happy birthday Squishy!
Hilstep - we went for the VW Touran as we needed a car that was fairly high up to make it easier for me to get into and also plenty of room to take my sister and nephews out and about in. (My nephews loved the two 'secret' seats in the back). Next summer we have to trade her in and I so don't want to let her go, we had a sunroof fitted and heated seats etc because at the time I had inherited some money so we spent it on the car. Next year we will have nothing, so will have to be prepared to 'settle' for what we can afford and not what we want.. I may have to have a corsa and be strapped to the roof-rack!!!
Mioliere - Thank you. I know it's corny, but knowing I can make him smile means the world to me. Selfish really.
Janny, Twink, Essexgirl, D&DD, MrsTittlemouse, patentgirl and Squiggly -Thank you for the hugs and best wishes.. I talk to him about this comm so he knows how mad and yet strangely adorable you all are!
Catznine - So sorry you are still in pain, hope it improves for you hon
essexgirl - That must be scary, he might not know how intimidating he is, but he has no right to come to your house.
Welcome GrimboGreen - very good to have you with us
    Anniestar - hello honey!
Lamewolf - can I have the smilies link for those birthday cakes pls honey? I am stealing yours by copy pasting but feel a bit naughty for doing so..

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of your days!

    Good Afternoon All

I have been out all day and only just got ine - best laid plans and all that.

Thank you all for your comments. Luckily the boys parents werent at the Festival so could relax and enjoy it. After the headteacher sought us out. He has looked into it with his teachers and beleive that bullying is not taking place they even spoke to the boy who could not say 1 thing that my son has meant to have done to him. The headteacher said as much to the father last night after school which makes him more shocked that the father came round here straight after. He advised me to go to the police and make an appointment with the police officer who supports the schools.

She was very lovey and helpful, they are going round this evening or tomorrow to have a word with the father and his son. He will be told not to come here or approach my son. If he ignores this then they will take it further and do him for harrasment.

We live in a small village and everyone seems to know where everyone else lives. I am much happier now and to be truthful the thing that upset me more was my DS being described as a bully. Some of my friends know this man and describe as not being completely normal.

Anyway hopefully I will not be seeing him again in the near future.

OS wise I have done nothing today  and I am not sure it I will get anything done - it will still be there tomorrow.

Off now to check out the Martin thread.

Thanks again you guys, you always say the right thing.

Diva, it's on the MSE smileys! If you click on "More" at the bottom of the ones to the right of the reply screen, you'll get a window with loads more smileys in, including the cake. Scroll to the right and down a bit and there it is.

EDIT: Just spotted that Haribo already said this - oh well, better twice than not at all.

Hi everyone :) hope you are all well - been working really stupid hours for a bit and haven't had time to post, but have been reading off and on. Hugs to those that need them.

I am very tired, but I have just submitted my thesis, so I am allowed to sleep now. Probably going out for a drink, but to be honest, I really dont want to :)

I have a lot of OS'ing to catch up on as the house is a tip.

We have a house guest for a bit - but he keeps turning the heating on which is really bad (not to mention expensive) - I really hate the heat as it make my skin prickle (I have the windows open even in this weather) - I wouldn't mind as much, but he could wear a jumper and is refusing too. I can turn it off/down when I am there, but he's just sitting in the flat all day when we are at work. Its at the level I don't want to be in the flat - I had huge welts because of it yesterday. he's looking for a flat in Oxford - and is trying to move near us, which will also be a PITA as he's quite "needy" and will seriously annoy me if he's around all the time - or expecting OH to be at his house all hours.

One of my fish has lost a feeler :( I don't know if they grow back or not - I have to clean the tank as they are writing "clean me" in the algae

Essex-girl - well done for getting onto the police - it really isn't on for that kids father to act like that.
I'm off on holiday on Sunday. No idea where - it's a suprise

have a good day all, cel x

    Afternoon all,

Not a nice day here, windy and raining most of the time.

    Happy birthday Squishy and Sarah:bdaycake::bdaycake:

Hugs to all in need or want and congratulations to all who are celebrating.

Nothing much happening here atm, OH still has to have 3 blood tests per week, he is not impressed...also, he likes to go for 'breakfast' after we visit the hospital, which means that we seem to be gone half the day...can't even whinge about the cost as he is paying for it....

Chicken and ham with cabbage, carrots and roast spuds, ginger cake with ice cream for pudding....there is also salad so we should all be well fed

But how do you know whether to pack a posh frock & heels or woolies & wellies? I would need some clues for packing or else I'd take the whole wardrobe ;)

Well I got rid of the dust-bunnies, cleaned the bathroom, went & bought a s/h wheel so I now have a spare that fits (but it has no tyre yet :o), posted an ebay parcel, picked up one that is wrong so need to sort that out ().

OH won't be back for tea so belly pork went into freezer for next week. Told him we're having grown-up smoothies when he gets home :p

Right, have not yet found the bed (coz I dumped everything on it before dysoning :o) so will carry on......I may be some time...:rotfl:

Love to all & :grouphug: for those in need

    Floss xx

I was going to read through all the posts first but I am so

Essex-girl I would think him turning up on your doorstep is intimidating enough, without him telling you he set about someone with a cricket bat because he was bullied.
What is the matter with the man, does he not realise the difference between bullying and an argument between 2 boys:confused: or does he want to wrap his child in cotton wool ???
Sorry :o but I get so annoyed by anything like this as there is usually no need for it.
Hope it all works out OK.
