(((Hugs))) to Essex-girl and her DS - how horrible for that man to come round to your house; I hope you get it sorted out soon.

(((Hugs))) to Jet - I know how you feel; I'd want the house to look clean and tidy if vistors were coming.

    Catznien - (((hugs))) to you.

    Happy Birthday to Squishy!

Happy Birthday and Welcome to Sarahshattered!

Welcome to Grimbogreen. We love having newbies!

Well, I have a plum crumble in the Remoska and I've prepped for dinner tonight. Something with chicken and bacon, new potatoes and some veg I've mixed up to stir-fry. Heaven knows what it'll turn out like.

The weather is lovely - still a little cool but should warm up with all the sunshine.

DH is in and out today so I doubt I'll get as much done as I had planned.

Donny-gal - what a shame you can't get UK TV. Mind you, the news is awful at the moment but it must be maddening to miss Strictly.

Well, I'd better go and clear up the mess in the kitchen.

    See you all later.

  • Morning friends, windy and bleary here in CD, but not cold, have just returned from Asda, not many bargains to be had today. DH is on taking out the toilet so we will have to use the camper portaloo until the new one is in place. Not looking forward to that with four of us in the house!
Have just cleaned out the fridge and we are having shepherds pie for lunch, using up some leftover mash and anything else i come across!
The house is like a tip AGAIN and i must do a few loads of washing as soon as water is back on.
This flaming cold seems to be lifting slightly but i have such a bad chesty cough and i feel like i am disturbing everyone during the night.
Well off to stick my head over a bowl of boiling water and Vick to see if i can get any relief, Have a good day all BSB xx

Happy birthday Squishy, have a fabulous day!

Essex girl - don't like the sound of that man coming round your house, don't really know what to suggest, except for asking him not to do it again. Do the school do mediation meetings or anything? Have you spoken to any of the other mums for moral support this afternoon, or to ask if they know anything about it? All I can think of is if this other child isn't being bullied, he has blown their disputes out of proportion, perhaps he hasn't been working very well at school and has used this as an excuse? And if the father was bullied then that prob explains his total over-reaction, doesn't excuse it at all, and at his age he should know better than to try intimidating you.

Donny - good to know that us os-ers are spearheading the revolution lol!

Troo - oo-er, I've heard about those people who park in forests!!!! Have a lovely day!

Charliesmum - how lovely to just meet someone like that, when my world seems small it's usually someone I don't want to meet lol!

Right caught up a bit, no doubt when i post this I'll see loads more posts! Off to investigate why I can smell joss sticks, it's giving me a headache!

    Edit:

Welcome Grimbogreen - lovely to meet you!

Can't find this smell, think now it might be the combination of my bargain lillies and the fabric softener on the clothes drying behind me!

    Morning all,

My girlie’s home! :j And it’s wonderful! I didn’t realise how much we’d missed each other until I picked her up at the airport last night. We hugged, kissed and blubbed like we hadn’t seen each other for months…we probably made eejits out of ourselves, but I don’t care. :o She even hugged her brothers when she got home! Anyway, she looks happy and healthy so we are planning a shopping spree this afternoon to get her a warm coat and some cardigans to keep her cosy until Christmas. It’s sooooo good to have all three of them under one roof again. :D

Breakfast was porridge and soda farls with bacon. Dd seems to have had a personality transplant since she’s been away. She offered to make her brothers’ packed lunches, washed the dishes and even volunteered to walk ds2 to school. We’ll probably go out for lunch while we’re out shopping then collect ds2 at 3.00pm and I’ll make a minestrone soup with hm bread while she gets ready to out with her friends tonight. It’s a bit chilly so I might light the fire this evening.

Candygirl and Mr Sunnyday belated ‘Happy Birthdays’ to you both!
Heidi, congratulations on your little daughter, she looks adorable.
anniestar, I hope you had a great time last night.
    Grimbo Green, welcome!
Catznine, I hope you feel better soon. X
Aussie, I’m resisting the temptation to say anything about you ears. :silenced:
Troo, I didn’t see it but I think the interview was on Tuesday (7th) evening.
Squishy, Happy Birthday! I hope you have a lovely day! :bdaycake:

Ok, must get on. Have a good day everyone,

    Morning! :hello:

Am off work for a few days, so trying to catch up on h/w & find the corner of the bedroom (under a heap of all my clothes) before OH gets home tonight!

WM is on, bin emptied, recycling sorted, d/s tidied, dishes washed, 2 pots of hammy lentil soup made for freezer, d/s & stairs all dysoned....just having 5 mins before I tackle the bedroom.

Have to go into town later to collect & post ebay parcels and pay a cheque into the bank & to pick up OH's cleaning. Also need to source a new-to-me wheel for my car, as after 8 years of owning it I have found out that the spare is not the correct size for the car  so it's off to the scrapyard for me!

Decide on y/s slow-roasted belly pork for supper, baked y/s figs for afters, and grown-up smoothies with y/s passion fruit :D That should make him a happy OH ;)

Right, am determined to rediscover the floorboards......need to dyson the Watership Down of dust bunnies out from under the bed too :)

    See you later

Am already starting to get ready(longish journey
Essex Girl we had a very similar situation at my last school. After having strong words to the Parent involved we got the LEA involved who immediately involved the police as the "visits" constituted intimidation the school should stop it right now. This man is seriously bullying your son. I hope the situation resolves itself very quickly.((((HUGS))) to you bnd your DS.

Haribo I'm still all ears. :p

We know you are dear, but the long hair hides an awful lot :p:D ( I couldn't resist, Pink)

    Morning all!

For the second night running next door's dog barked the whole night through at foxes, the moon, passing aircraft and anything else, including a leaf fluttering down. He finally gave up at 6.30 this morning!!!! I'm shattered icon9.gif Don't think there will be too much done here today.

Heidiboo, your daughter is scrumptious:D :D Well done!!!

Pink, guessed that's where you were last night :D Enjoy your girlie home again.:kisses3:

Sorry my thanks button is taking an age, and several goes to work:rolleyes: I'll do my trick of going through several times over the day, that'll fool it;)

Essexgirl, sorry to hear of that bother with the lad's Dad. I'd tell him not to call at your house again, and that I'd be asking the police for advice. I'm sure that will stop him.

Oh dear! I've just spat coffee all over the screen!!! DH is booking some tickets, and had to give our postcode, he's spelled it out by saying, yes that's JT, John Thomas:eek: :rotfl: (maybe you had to be there:o )

Oh well, I've rambled about nothing. OS, hmm.....yes well....... I remember! Making a chicken casserole for tonight.;)

Almost forgot!!! Happy Birthday, squishy, hope it's a good one.

  • Enough with the comments about my ears thankyou.

    Happy Birthday Squishy.

Fairly busy this morning. Paying lots of bills online and getting ready for going away next week so have spent the morning washing and [strike]putting off[/strike] doing the ironing.;) Kitchen and bathroom are cleaned and floors washed. Fire cleaned out and reset for tonight.

May make a curry for tea if I can get motivated. Have just put a basket of apples in the SC to stew which I'll then freeze.

Other than that, no news. Would have spoken to Pink this morning but she can no longer stand the sounds of my singing and has switched her phone off. :p;):D

    Take care everyone.

    Haribo x
