    Morning all,

Seems quite mild here today, its meant to be a nice day again :T , I am off to w**k finish at two so not too bad.

My friend at work gets married at the end of October, and tonight we are having a hen night for her, its not the traditional sort of hen night, but we are all going round to the boss's house wearing tracksuit type slouchy clothes, we are all taking fizz to drink, and we are going to slouch, drink lots, order a curry, and give each other make overs, should be a nice relaxing evening. Unfortunatly all my tracksuit type slouchy clothes are not fit to be seen in public, I slouch around the house in them, so I am having to go to Mr T to look for a new one today, I also have to buy fizz and chip in for the curry, so not a cheap day, but an enjoyable one :T , I have also bought a pirates eye patch and headscarf to wear, and will draw on a false moustache, I dont know why really, other than I really fancy Jonny Depp :o , should be good for a laugh anyway :D , will try to get a photo on my FB at the weekend.

So no cooking for me today, dd is supposed to be going to my mums, but will see how mum is today, if she is not well enough, she can sit here with OH, mum has promised to cook dd HM chips, dd says my mum makes the best chips, so she always makes them for her. OH can sort himself out food wise, probably a takeaway curry.

Will have a quick tidy through before work, and will do a wash later to hang on the airer.

Diva, hugs to your friend xx

Hilstep, good luck at the hospital xx

Squishy Happy Birthday Hun   have a good day

    Good Morning All

 Happy Birthday Squishy:beer: Have a great day.

MSD - (((hugs))) for your friend and anyone else who needs one.

Feeling very perturbed today, on Monday I had a visit from a man I had never met before, he said he was the dad of a boy in my ds' class & that my son was bullying his son. Apparantly his son his very small and doesnt deserve to be bullied. Luckily my son was there and said he hadnt & that him and this boy do argue. The man woudnt accpt this and said it had to stop - I advised him to contact that school. I saw my sons teacher the next day who said she had seen nothing & would have a word with both children. Next thing I know he turned up last again last night. My son was there again and the man said he had gt worse & that he had seen the headteacher. My son denied it again the man then said that when he was young he was bullied and that one day he enough grabbed a cricket bat and attacked his bullies! I immediately phoned the headmaster who was very unhappy to find out this man had been round my house. I wouldnt say his was intimitading but he constantly repeats himself & wont listen. I better explain that my son is also very small at the moment and is only slightly bigger than this boy.

Anyway I am trying to let the school deal with it but have Harvest Festival this morning, this man will be there and I am not looking forward to it.

Sorry about the long post but it really bothered me, I dont beleive my son is a bully and neither do the school. Anyway back to OS - have some housework to do today. Need to pop out for some cream, my local shop and the other nearest one only stock Emlea which has trans fats in so need to go further afield.

CHicken & cheesey pots for tea tonight.

As you've probably heard me say, we don't have UK TV here now - long story, not really missing it apart from Strictly and the News with the financial crisis. So reading up on line, and looking at The Times Online this morning there is an article which is inferring we are better off health wise and others when in a recession so it could be good for us  . To be honest it is really saying the sort of things OSers take for granted, but just shows we are at the cutting edge.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Morning :hello:

Nice to see the government showing a bit of backbone yesterday, hopefully they'll eventually grow a whole spine

When was the Jon Snow interview on? I can't watch it (well I can watch, just can't hear it) on the PC - one of the piggles chewed through the speaker wire  - if I know the date, I can find it on catch-up tv.

My printer has decided not to print, it's just pulling the paper through and spitting it out  I've tried everything so I'll be ringing HP today.

We're going to Tintern today, we might make a day of it, pack some food and stop in the forest.

    Morning :D

I had a really dream about getting 2 kittens last night and then losing them

I think it's cos I'm feeling really stressed. I rang DMum last night when I was just dropping off in bed as I thought I should tell her that my mb wasn't working. She announced that they are coming up today while I'm at work to fix the curtain rail. I really appreciate the help they give me (my Dad has helped me out with lots of DIY bits) but I have siad LOTS of times that during the week it's not convenient because I work full time and the girls have to be carted round to activites 3/5 evenings so getting the house sorted before they come is just stresses me that little bit more. So this time I said that the short notice wasn't on as I was going to have to get up an hour earlier to do the house work - she then took offence that I wouldn't just leave the house as it was for them ... but the housework needed doing and I didn't want them to see my house in a tip. So I've been running round like a loony since I woke up hoovering, tidying and cleaning the kitchen.

Sorry for moaning - feel really silly now because they only want to help which I'm really grateful for (and said so to her ... but it didn't help).

Essexgirl: I would feel very uncomfortable if another parent approached me at my home in this way and you have definitely done the right thing by informing the school. Hope this mornings service is not too uncomfortable and that you are able to enjoy it.

(((HUGS))) to all those who want/need them.

    Luv Jxxx

  • Good morning everyone,I've been up ages but could'nt get my new laptop to work.It seemed to lock itself and not being brain of britain as far as IT is concerned I have been sitting trying to figure it out.I still don't know what I did to get it unlocked though.
Anyway it was a very wet and extremely windy night but it was'nt cold. It's dry now but still windy.OH back to work today and house seems very empty.Just watching the BBC news and it seems putting all that money in the banks is'nt working.Goodness knows what's going to happen now.
Today I have got a bit of plastering to finish off from doing our damp course and then I'm going to go into town.
Troo- what model is your HP printer, only mine has been doing the same .Not printing just spewing out blank sheets of paper.

moneysavingdiva- best wishes to your friend. It's lovely how you are supporting him.
I also agree about the Martin bashing, there's no need for it but that's what happens when the going gets tough.People look for a scapegoat.

Happy birthday to SarahShattered and everyone else celebrating today.
Let's hope we all have a good day.
    Take care xxx.

    It's a Deskjet F4200 all-in-one.

As soon as it started, I remembered that the HP Officejet 4100 did the same when I first got it. It was a really simple thing that fixed it, but I can't remember what it was  :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Good Morning!

Still in a fair bit of pain here, all on the left hand side of my chest, so taking anti-inflamatories and doing the breathing exercises. I just cannot get confortable. I really wanted to get the mincemeat started today as well.

Really pleased to see the thread started to show support for Martin, after all the nastiness recently, it just shows why so many of us feel at home here on old style!

(((hugs))) to all today, I think we need them
