Do people buy just the item that they get R&R or with your shop so it looks normal ish. People who get 3/4 R&R per shop is that all you buy?

I only ever buy one of the same item - if its electrical.

Meat etc - maybe two packs - no more.

and I always buy other items with it - normal shopping, milk, bread etc.. think it looks much better

  • I only buy two items the same if its food & usally two dif items for none food (once i had 4 items)
I allways buy a min £5 or £10 worth of other stuff as well max of £30
Thinking about it Tescos are getting more money out of me recently as I am buying things from them more often - I once did 5 tescos in one day!!

  • On entering Mr.T's I first look for the big prizes like televisions. If its there on RR I bung it in the empty trolley and yes go straight to the till to check out then on to CS to claim it. Quicker I sort it all out the better just in case anyone notices its me again and alters the SEL. Then I follow them all the way back to the SEL all the time sticking to them like glue. I swear Mr.T has his staff on a profit sharing basis and thats why they are so mean minded with us.

ive been reading these tesco threads for a month now and of my many visits to tescos for the shopping i am still a tesco r&r virgin :D

what has stopped me you ask  i am worried that if i buy for example cds, dvds & games and i am then charged the correct amount that i wont be able to hand the items back in for a refund

whats there policy on giving refunds on items you no longer want

    Dude,

First of all use a price checker/scanner.

If there isn't one or it's not working, take the item to the checkout - if it scans at the 'wrong' price - say "oh, left my wallet in the car" or something - and wander off...

hmm, got 2 packs of skinless chicken breasts today but paid cash separately from Mr M who bought the other stuff, maybe it's better to buy it all together

JVC in Batley Extra in locked glass at £199, how would I go about getting that at that price when there were no boxes?

I would just ask the SA for it then watch how much the amount is has he "tills" it,if its the lower price have your phone handy to receive "a" call, then say sorry my hubby has just told me not to get it has he has already bought one.Having said that its prob gone already .(edit)Thinking about it,its prob easier just to say "i forgot my credit card".

I think it's the opposite - Only underperforming stores seem to be hit regularly (I've been checking on 4 stores in my area and havent seen an R&R from a single one of them).

So if the staff aren't up to scratch, then they must be getting it in the neck from head office big time... hence abusive staff / managers

    Heads up...

A number of phone deals run out on 22/01.

A few electrical deals run out on 24/01 (including a printer/scanner, and a complete pc system)

Lets see who calls 'I got one' first!!

In my store they don't refund on DVD's games etc unless they are plastic sealed, although I have had refunds so like everything else it depends who serves you, what side of the bed they got out of etc. If you notice it goes through at the correct price then either say you have changed your mind,or alternatively ask it is the wrong item if you can return it - if they say no you could say you had better check it is the correct game,cd etc. I would also go to CS with the item if you notice when you have paid it has gone through correctly and ask them if it could be returned if it is the wrong item - again if they say no askif it would it be ok to change my mind before I leave the store in that case and you'll double check before buying it. The other way if you have missed the price as it goes throught the till to ask the cashier the price of ? if he give the correct price you can say, oh I thought it was £? do you mind if I leave it and he will take if off again. Hope that helps, must admit I've become very adapt at watching prices as they go through.
